The future of many models and even manufacturers lies in electrification. So much so that Seat does not want to be left behind in the electric offensive following the launch of the Cupra Born. According to some specialist sources, the brand from Martorell could be working on the electric successor to the iconic Seat Ibiza. It will be called Seat Acandra and will reach the market next 2025.

The upcoming Seat Acandra will be part of the B-segment and will be built on the MEB modular platform of the Volkswagen Group. Everything points to the Acandra becoming a true best-seller. It is also worth highlighting that the Seat Acandra will be manufactured at the Seat plant in Martorell. To do so, the factory will be completely transformed to adapt to the new mobility. This transformation will make it possible to produce up to 500,000 cars a year in Martorell.

Everything we know about the Seat Acandra

The new Seat Acandra will reach the market in early 2025 and could have a starting price of around 19,000 euros. This price could revolutionise the B-segment, since so far there are not many models offered at an affordable price.

The news does not stop here: the Volkswagen Group plans to launch more models, such as the Skoda Elroq, which will become the electric successor to the Skoda Fabia, the Volkswagen ID.2 as an electric alternative to the Volkswagen T-Cross and Volkswagen T-Roc, and the Volkswagen ID.1, which could become an option alongside the Volkswagen Polo due in 2027.

Some of these new 100% electric models from the Volkswagen Group will be built on a modified MEB modular platform. It will be much shorter and will feature an update for the infotainment and safety systems. It is worth noting that, so far, the MEB modular platform supports the Volkswagen ID.3, the Volkswagen ID.4, the Audi Q4 e-tron, the Skoda Enyaq iV and the Cupra Born.
