The Zeekr 8X is ready to hit the market and will surprise with its performance and equipment

Geely is one of the Chinese automotive companies with the strongest presence in the international market. It has several brands, and many of them are already well known in Europe. One of the brands under the Geely umbrella is Zeekr, which has several interesting models, and the Zeekr 8X will soon join its lineup.

This plug-in hybrid SUV will sit between the Zeekr 7X and the 9X, although it will be quite close to the larger model. In fact, its styling will be quite aggressive, especially in the sporty version. The standard version will come very close to the styling of the X9, with a large chrome grille and a light signature formed by claw-shaped headlights. The front bumper gives it an aggressive touch that makes it a very interesting car.

The sporty version offers an even more aggressive and dynamic look. The grille is different, black and with a more intense presence. The black wheels contrast with the orange brake calipers. At the rear, a spoiler rises from the roof, which gives it not only a sportier style but also better aerodynamic behavior.

The sporty version is complemented by a more aggressive rear diffuser, and red reflectors have been incorporated into the large rear bumper. In both models, it seems that the same lighting units and the LED light bar have been fitted, so the appearance in this respect is the same.

Engine of the Zeekr 8X

As for the powertrain, the Zeekr X8 will offer a plug-in hybrid drive system consisting of a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder combustion engine. Alongside this unit, three electric motors have been installed. Overall, the brand claims a power output of 1,381 CV, similar to that of the 9X.

It will be available with two battery packs, of 55.1 kWh and 70 kWh. What we do not yet know is whether the sporty version will have any extra power or whether it is only a styling package that will keep the already impressive power of the standard model.

Inside, Zeekr maintains the trend of featuring high-quality materials and very carefully finished details. No data is available about the interior layout, but it is expected to be very similar to the 9X, with large screens that are very prominent in the cabin.
