These are the four platforms for Stellantis electric cars
Stellantis has developed four new platforms that will underpin its future fully electric models.

Stellantis has just held an event called EV Day, and it was notable for its many eye-catching presentations. However, one of the news items that drew the most attention was the unveiling of the four modular platforms the new automotive group will work with. These new modular platforms will become the backbone of the group.
Let’s take a closer look at each of them. The smallest platform is called STLA Small, and it will support the group’s smallest vehicles. Stellantis has not gone into detail, but it has suggested that models using this platform could measure between 3.5 and 4.2 metres in length.

This is what Stellantis’s new modular platforms look like
These models could feature battery packs of 37 to 82 kWh and promise ranges close to 500 kilometres. They will also use 400 V technology and an electric motor producing 95 CV. However, some models will get upgraded motors offering outputs of between 170 and 245 CV.
The STLA Medium platform will house premium vehicles measuring between 4.2 and 5 metres long. Their batteries will be between 87 and 104 kWh and offer ranges close to 700 kilometres. Most of these models will fit electric motors delivering outputs of 168 to 241 CV. There will, however, be versions with outputs of between 205 and 450 CV.

The STLA Large platform will house high-performance vehicles with all-wheel drive. They measure around 5.50 metres long and have battery packs of 101-118 kWh, allowing ranges of up to 800 km. These models will mount electric motors with outputs of between 170 and 245 CV, but can reach up to 450 CV.
Dual-motor configurations could deliver up to 900 CV. Stellantis has indicated that these models could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just two seconds. This means Stellantis could develop a model far quicker than the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, which takes 2.3 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h.

Last but not least, Stellantis will develop the platform called STLA Frame. This body-on-frame platform is designed for pick-ups and large SUVs. It could also bring to market a direct rival to the Ford F-150 Lightning. This modular platform will house models measuring between 5.6 and 6.2 metres long and will feature battery packs of 159 to 200 kWh. This combination will offer ranges of up to 800 kilometres.
