This is the Audi RS6 DTM by Jon Olsson for the Gumball 3000

The Audi RS6 Avant is one of the most powerful and attractive estate cars on the market. Besides its looks, it features a 4.0-litre V8 engine that delivers a maximum output of 560 CV. Professional skier Jon Olsson owns one and decided months ago that it had to go through bodywork and paint so that new adjustments could be applied, turning it into a true racing machine with the versatility of an estate car.
Aesthetically, it keeps the grey metallic paint of the original bodywork, to which the characteristic colours and logos of betsafe, a regular sponsor of the famous Gumball 3000 rally, have been added. On the bodywork, the inspiration from the DTM has been the philosophy behind the design of the huge wheel arches, widened front and rear wings, a splitter taken from the racetrack, air deflectors to redirect airflow at the front, along the lower sides and behind the rear wheels, as well as two new spoilers and a carbon-fibre diffuser that accommodates the already typical oval exhaust outlets of the RS6 Avant.

To complete the brutal design, a set of black wheels with Michelin tyres, and a roof rack with the aerodynamics needed for this type of vehicle, finished in carbon fibre. “I have always liked the spectacular widened bodies of DTM cars and I have always wanted to build something similar that I could use on the street, but I also need to be able to take my skiing equipment to the slopes, so I decided to see what we could do with my Audi RS6 Avant,” said the skier.
The mechanics also required a series of adjustments to match such a spectacular design, so two new TTE9XX turbochargers and an electronic control unit reprogramming, among many other modifications, have been applied to the 4.0-litre V8 unit, increasing output to 950 CV, although if he uses high-performance petrol, Jon Olsson hopes to exceed the 1,000 CV figure.
