We already know the prices of the BMW i3 electric in the Spanish market

The launch of the BMW i3 is almost ready, and we already know how much two of its versions will cost in the Spanish market. This second model of the Neue Klasse is set to carve out a place for itself in a complicated market, with Chinese brands standing in its way and the hope that it becomes one of the most sought-after cars among European buyers.

The BMW i3 is built on an 800-volt architecture, which allows it to feature the brand’s most advanced technology, made available to the driver who chooses this BMW electric. It is also equipped with the sixth generation of the BMW eDrive drivetrain.

The first version of the BMW i3 we know about is the BMW i3 50 xDrive, which delivers a total output of 345 kW, equivalent to 469 CV. The 0-100 km/h acceleration is achieved in 4.7 seconds. It is fitted with a high-voltage battery with a capacity of 108.7 kWh. This allows it to achieve a maximum range of up to 912 kilometres under the WLTP cycle.

This battery can be charged at a maximum power of up to 400 kW. This means charging time is very short and does not require long stops if a charger of this power is available. At this power, the time to charge the battery and obtain a range of up to 423 kilometres is ten minutes.

In the case of the second version, the BMW i3 40 xDrive offers an output of 275 kW, that is, 374 CV. In this case, the battery it is fitted with is 82.8 kWh, with which a maximum range of up to 710 kilometres under the WLTP cycle is achieved.

These two versions are, for now, the only ones available for this model, but it has been announced that a more dynamic variant will soon be launched. It will arrive in 2027 and will be called the BMW i3 xDrive M Performance, which will be considerably more powerful than these two versions.
