EQS Mercedes Electric Cars SUV
We meet the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV before its unveiling
The Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV will make its official debut on 19 April.

After a long wait, we have been able to meet one of the most anticipated fully electric SUVs from the star brand. We are talking about the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, and today we were able to see it before its presentation, which will take place on 19 April. This new 100% electric SUV has just entered the production line and will become one of the toughest rivals to the BMW iX or the Tesla Model X. The truth is that it still has some camouflage, but we are sure that the new EQS SUV will be a benchmark in the market and in the electric SUV segment.
We are referring to the SUV version of the Mercedes-Benz EQS. You may identify it more easily if we tell you that it is the electric version of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class with SUV bodywork. Its full name will be Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV. The star brand has revealed few details, but we can say that this new SUV will be assembled at the German manufacturer’s plant in Tuscaloosa, United States. The Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV will also be produced at this same plant. This version will not be the same size as the GLS class, but it will be larger than the GLE class.
These details lead us to believe that the new electric SUV from the star brand will measure around five metres in length and have a much more streamlined and aerodynamic design. It will be built on the same platform as the Mercedes-Benz EQS saloon and will offer outputs of between 500 and 650 CV. This will be possible thanks to configurations with two electric motors, all-wheel drive and a 107.8 kWh battery. The homologated ranges will be around 600 kilometres on a single charge. In addition, the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV will become the first electric SUV to use the EVA platform.

Everything we know about the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV
The star brand has disclosed quite a lot of information about the interior and the spaciousness of the new electric SUV. The cabin is very similar to the one debuted in the Mercedes-Benz EQS, so it will offer high-quality materials and the 56-inch MBUX Hyperscreen interface. This means it will occupy the entire dashboard with different screens, aiming to create a fully interactive surface. The system has been further updated and will allow passengers to play content while driving.
It will seat seven passengers, although buyers can choose between two or three rows of seats. Given its silhouette, we find it hard to imagine adult passengers travelling comfortably in the third row. We will have to wait and put it to the test.
