Aston Martin Valen — special edition equipped with the spectacular 850 CV twin-turbo V12
Aston Martin presents the Valen, a limited edition of 150 units that will be its most powerful front-engined model in its history

We are used to Q by Aston Martin, the personalisation department of the English brand, surprising us with truly incredible work, and just when it seemed it could not innovate any further, it outdoes itself again with a new special model: the Aston Martin Valen. The Valen is part of the range of limited-production twelve-cylinder special editions, and it also comes with the distinction of being the production car with the most powerful front-engined motor in the world, as well as the Aston Martin with the most powerful front engine in the brand’s 113 years of history.
The Aston Martin Valen draws attention wherever you look, a design overseen by Marek Reichman, characterised by a front end in which ultra-slim headlights seem to emerge from the body’s base, as they are concealed by the downward sweep of the bonnet, perfectly complemented by the radiator opening, the geometric grille and the angled front splitter. Returning to the bonnet, it features a single cooling outlet, while on either side a large functional vent grille draws air from the wheel arch and directs it downwards.

Moving to the side, the lower section is formed by stepped skirts that further emphasise the widened front and rear wheel arches, where vortex generators also sit, reducing lift and increasing aerodynamic downforce. This brings us to the innovative rear, where the traditional rear window and boot lid have been replaced by a solid tailgate featuring a spoiler on its upper edge and giving access to a 170-litre boot. The rear spoiler combines at its lower edge with a custom light bar spanning the full width of the bodywork, which also acts as a Gurney-type spoiler. Beneath this illuminated section is a perforated panel to extract hot air from around the exhaust.

The body of the Aston Martin Valen is made from carbon fibre, and the model in the photographs is finished in Satin Andromeda Red, a colour developed by Q Ultra. As an option, the brand will allow customers to choose exposed carbon fibre with a herringbone weave, as well as, as one would expect, a wide range of other colours from satin to gloss.

Turning to the interior of the Aston Martin Valen, the brand’s engineers and designers have focused on a minimalist cabin with the aim of reducing weight as much as possible, not merely for visual effect. The key element of the dashboard is the centre console, created through parts produced by 3D printing, together with a set of controls inherited directly from the Valhalla. Other 3D-printed elements include the perforated sections that reference the exterior vent grilles, while functional elements such as the air outlets have been modified with the same weight-reduction goal in mind.

Both driver and passenger will sit in newly developed Sports Plus seats, which combine support with comfort for long distances, or alternatively high-performance seats in carbon fibre for a more radical experience. Regardless of the seats chosen, the brand will also offer a choice between a combination of semi-aniline leather and Alcantara, or semi-aniline leather throughout, from which one of five available material combinations may then be selected.

As for the mechanical side, the Aston Martin does not mess around: the Valen uses a 5,200 cc twin-turbo V12 that delivers 850 CV and 1,000 Nm from as low as 2,500 rpm, sent to the rear wheels through the eight-speed automatic gearbox signed by ZF. Thanks to this combination, the Valen can accelerate to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds, while its top speed is electronically limited to 345 km/h. All this power and performance can be managed through the Sport, Sport+ and Track driving modes.

Compared with the original V12 platform, the Valen makes use of various lightweight materials employed in motorsport, such as carbon fibre, aluminium, titanium and magnesium, achieving a significant weight reduction of up to 110 kg. As standard, contact with the road is made through new magnesium wheels, fitted with Pirelli P Zero R or P Zero Winter 2 tyres where required, revealing carbon-ceramic brakes with 410 mm discs at the front and 360 mm at the rear, not forgetting springs specific to this model, auxiliary springs and Bilstein DTX semi-active dampers. We conclude with its new lightweight titanium exhaust system, which ensures that the brutal V12 of the Aston Martin emits a roar worthy of its power and excellence.
The Aston Martin Valen will be the plaything of just 150 owners who may acquire this exclusive limited edition, with the brand planning the first deliveries for the second quarter of 2027 at a price that has not been specified but will surely have plenty of zeros.
