Aston Martin presents the Valen, a limited edition of 150 units that will be its most powerful front-engined model in its history

We are used to Q by Aston Martin, the personalisation department of the English brand, surprising us with truly incredible work, and just when it seemed it could not innovate any further, it outdoes itself again with a new special model: the Aston Martin Valen. The Valen is part of the range of limited-production twelve-cylinder special editions, and it also arrives with the distinction of being the production car with the most powerful front-mounted engine in the world, as well as the Aston Martin with the most powerful front-mounted engine in the brand’s 113 years of history.

The Aston Martin Valen catches the eye wherever you look. Its design was handled by Marek Reichman and is characterised by a front end in which ultra-slim headlights seem to emerge from the bottom of the bodywork, as they are concealed by the downward sweep of the bonnet, blending perfectly with the radiator opening, the geometric grille and the angled front splitter. Returning to the bonnet, it has a single outlet for cooling, while on either side a large functional vent grille draws air from the wheel arch and directs it downwards.

Moving along the side, the lower section consists of stepped sills that further emphasise the widened front and rear wheel arches, where there are also vortex generators that reduce lift and increase downforce. This brings us to the innovative rear, where the traditional rear window and boot lid have been replaced by a solid tailgate that features a spoiler on its upper edge and gives access to a 170-litre boot. The rear spoiler is combined at its lower edge with a light bar spanning the full width of the bodywork, which also acts as a Gurney-type spoiler. Beneath this illuminated area is a perforated panel to extract hot air from around the exhaust.

The body of the Aston Martin Valen is made of carbon fibre and, on the model in the photographs, it is finished in Satin Andromeda Red, a colour developed by Q Ultra. As an option, the brand will allow customers to choose exposed carbon fibre with a herringbone carbon weave, as well as, naturally, a wide variety of other colours ranging from satin to gloss.

Turning to the interior of the Aston Martin Valen, the brand’s engineers and designers have focused on a minimalist cabin, with the aim of reducing weight as much as possible and not merely as a visual goal. The key element of the dashboard is the centre console, created using elements produced by 3D printing, together with a set of controls inherited directly from the Valhalla. Other 3D-printed components include the perforated sections that reference the external vent grilles, while in pursuit of weight reduction, functional elements such as the air outlets have been modified.

Both driver and passenger will sit in Sports Plus seats, a new design that combines support with comfort for long distances, or alternatively high-performance seats in carbon fibre for a more radical experience. Regardless of the seats chosen, the brand will also let customers choose between a combination of semi-aniline leather and Alcantara, or fully semi-aniline leather, from which one of the five material combinations available can also be selected.

As for the mechanical side, the Aston Martin has not held back, and the Valen uses a 5,200 cc twin-turbo V12 that delivers 850 CV and 1,000 Nm from as little as 2,500 rpm, which is sent to the rear wheels through the eight-speed automatic gearbox signed by ZF. Thanks to this combination, the Valen can accelerate to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds, while its top speed is electronically limited to 345 km/h. All this power and sportiness can be managed through the Sport, Sport+ and Track driving modes.

Compared with the original V12 platform, the Valen makes use of various lightweight materials used in competition, such as carbon fibre, aluminium, titanium and magnesium, achieving a significant weight reduction of up to 110 kg. As standard, contact with the road is made through new magnesium wheels, fitted with Pirelli P Zero R or P Zero Winter 2 tyres if required, revealing carbon-ceramic brakes with 410 mm discs at the front and 360 mm at the rear. Not to forget the specific springs for this model, auxiliary springs and Bilstein DTX semi-active dampers. We finish with the new lightweight titanium exhaust system, which ensures that the brutal V12 of the Aston Martin produces a roar worthy of its power and excellence.

The Aston Martin Valen will be the plaything of just 150 owners who will be able to acquire this exclusive limited edition, with the brand planning first deliveries for the second quarter of 2027 at a price that has not been specified but will surely have plenty of zeros.
