A Ferrari Enzo sold at auction becomes the most expensive ever sold
What can we say about the Ferrari Enzo that has not already been said, given that it is one of the icons of motorsport, luxury and design.
A car that, more than 3 decades after production ceased, some of the 400 units built have become currency, since some of them rest in peace after a cut-short life. Or rather, their exchange involves many coins. Or banknotes.

Thus, our favourite car auction house, RM Sotheby’s, put up for sale via bidding a 2003 unit. A car with chassis number 133033 which, at 17 years old, had only covered 2,000 kilometres, as stated in the description.
Furthermore, together with the specifications, such as the mechanical heart of this masterpiece of automotive craftsmanship that left the workshops in Maranello, is the gleaming V12 producing 660 CV and 657 Nm, whose automatic gearbox, practically the same one that powered its Formula 1 single-seater siblings, was able to manage while sending all that power, like a cavallino rampant on its hind legs, to the rear wheels. Capable of reaching a top speed of 350 kilometres per hour and pinning its two occupants to their bucket seats during its sprint from standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds.

The legacy left by the gleaming Ferrari F40 of 1987, after the death of Enzo himself a year after the arrival of the car that marked a before and after in the industry, obliged the Italians to put on the road a machine that would leave every other vehicle behind. And so they did. So much so that its price was outrageously exaggerated: more than 650,000 dollars.
The most expensive Ferrari Enzo in the world
A sum that the vehicles resold later have widely surpassed. Such is the case of the one we bring you today.
After being displayed in the auction house’s collection, christened with the evocative name Driving into Summer, the car, which had been available through the online bidding system until the end of May, has achieved the highest price ever paid for an Ferrari Enzo at auction.

Finally, this car will change garages thanks to the 2,640,000 dollars paid at the auction of the Enzo Ferrari in question, almost 2 million dollars more than was originally paid for the car.
