Audi R8 Green Hell, a limited edition of 620 CV developed at the Nürburgring
The Audi R8 Green Hell is limited to 50 units, offers 620 CV of power and would cost 233,949 euros. Shall we take a closer look at it?

The four-ring brand has just unveiled the newest member of its most radical family. It is the Audi R8 Green Hell, a limited-edition supercar that will deliver power close to 620 CV. This new special edition of the German brand’s sports car, the Audi R8, features new styling tweaks but offers the same performance as its sibling, the Audi R8 V10 Performance.
This new limited-production special version is designed to celebrate its success at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. The newcomer Audi R8 Green Hell is based on the Audi R8 Performance.

This limited edition uses the same naturally aspirated 620 CV V10 engine. The Audi R8 Green Hell is designed to pay tribute to the Audi R8 LMS GT, which has won the endurance event on the German circuit five times since 2012. It is limited to just 50 units worldwide, and the Audi R8 Green Hell costs 233,949 euros in Germany. It is offered in four colours: Ibis White, Daytona Grey, Mythos Black and the Tioman Green. The latter is taken from unit 1 of the Audi R8 LMS belonging to the Audi Sport Phoenix team.

The bonnet, A-pillars, roof and rear are partially covered with a matt black film, while the doors feature matt transparent numbers similar to those on racing cars. There are also matt black details on the front, the sills, the diffuser, the mirror housings and the rear spoiler, with the 20-inch wheels also painted the same colour, along with red accents on the wheels.

The interior features lightweight seats and Alcantara upholstery with blue-green stitching on the centre panels, the instrument cluster badge, the steering wheel, the armrest and other areas. Special attention must be paid to the steering wheel, as it has the characteristic flat-bottomed rim. It is also trimmed with the same materials as the seats, and the “12 o’clock” marker is in red.
Beneath the new styling elements, the Audi R8 Green Hell has not changed mechanically compared with the Audi R8 Performance, with a 0 to 100 km/h time of 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h. This 620 CV of power reaches the tarmac through quattro four-wheel drive. The engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox called S Tronic.

It is important to note that the four-ring brand’s plant at Böllinger Höfe, near Neckarsulm, produces on its lines both the limited-to-50-units Audi R8 Green Hell and the special Space Frame bodywork of the competition Audi R8 LMS. Three versions of this model exist: the Audi R8 LMS GT3, the R8 LMS GT4 and the Audi R8 LMS GT2.
