BMW X5 M50d: subtle changes for the most powerful diesel

The third generation of the BMW X5 M50d is getting closer and closer. Although the German manufacturer has not been very willing to disclose data about the model, some images have leaked ahead of its launch in November, so we will surely see it at Frankfurt.
Although technically it is not a model that could be considered entirely part of the M line, the new M50d was created under the supervision of BMW M GmbH. As for the engine, it will keep the six-cylinder diesel engine, which delivers 381 hp. Despite being the most powerful diesel on sale, its consumption has been improved by 10%.

But the biggest changes are on the exterior, with a new bodykit provided by M. The front will feature a more aggressive bumper with larger air intakes. The grey plastic of the side skirts is replaced by the body colour, while at the rear the bumper is somewhat smaller and positioned lower, flanked by the exhaust outlets. New 19-inch wheels with M design are added, and 20-inch wheels will be available as an option.
The M division has equipped the new M50d with M adaptive suspension with dynamic damper control and air suspension on the rear axle. As options, a package with dynamic roll control and traction control can be added.
The prices of this variant are not yet known, but considering that the current model sells for €109,000 in our country, we can already get a rough idea of the price the new variant will sell for.
