Brutale 800 RR, the most ferocious option from MV Agusta

This Italian model has received an equipment update and has become an even more spectacular motorcycle that manages its power better

Although the MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR has been on the market for quite a few years, this 2018 it has received a series of changes that have turned it into a major machine that also has a striking and powerful look. The changes amount to improvements over the existing model, although they are not usually visible at first glance. They involve changes to the mechanics and equipment, which reinforce the bike’s strong points and enhance them.

Among those changes we find Full LED lighting, redesigned wheels, a new damper for the transmission, more agile gears for the gearbox, a quieter oil pump, a revised cylinder head, a hydraulic clutch, an improved starter motor mechanism and new camshafts with modified timing.

The look, as we have mentioned, remains intact. And it is no wonder, because this is a motorcycle that aims to be an almost exclusive option and to give its rider the feeling of riding an exceptional model. Riding one of these bikes provides that feeling, and not only because of the external appearance of the Brutale 800 RR, but also because of its engine.

It is a three-cylinder engine with 798 cc, which gives the model its name, and a power output of 140 CV. This propels the Brutale 800 RR with a performance that other similar models do not have. The sound from its exhaust also makes a significant difference and defines the model. As for controlling all this power, there are also several improvements in the electronics that keep this motorcycle tamed.

It has four riding modes, which adjust the chassis characteristics to get the most out of the ride. The rider also has ABS, a new quickshifter (up&down), an anti-hop clutch, along with eight levels of traction control. Everything is designed to preserve the experience of riding the MV Agusta 800 RR, a great motorcycle that, despite all this, remains within Euro 4 regulations, which govern motorcycle engine emissions.
