Citroën C5 and C6 3.0 V6 HDi on sale

A few days ago we previewed some of the performance figures of the new engine that Citroën would debut in the C5 and C6. We now have all the data and prices for the new variants. The new 3.0 V6 HDi engine, developed jointly with Jaguar, produces 240 CV of power.
In the case of the Citroën C5, the arrival of this engine in the range places it a step above some of its rivals, as it offers a 240 CV V6 diesel. In the case of the Citroën C6, it improves on the performance and consumption of the former 2.7 V6 HDi unit, which averaged 8.7 l/100 km.

The new engine’s performance is very good, with an average consumption of 7.4 l/100 km and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds (Citroën C5) and 8.5 seconds (Citroën C6). Both models are fitted with a six-speed automatic gearbox paired with this new engine, and it is only available with the top trim level of both models. The prices are as follows:
- C5 3.0 HDI V6 Exclusive Aut. €34,700
- C6 3.0 HDI V6 Exclusive Aut. €59,530
