Ford Focus ST Edition: the Focus prepared by Ford Performance for your track day sessions
Looking for a single car that works both for everyday driving and for your track day sessions? Then pay attention to the new Focus ST Edition prepared by Ford Performance.

If you’re one of those who treats yourself to a track day from time to time, or if you don’t go near a circuit but want a “GTI” with character, the new Focus ST Edition could be the car for you.
Developed by Ford Performance, the Focus ST Edition has what you need under the bonnet for these situations: a powerful, race-bred engine, such as the 2.3-litre EcoBoost, capable of producing 280 CV and a maximum torque of 420 Nm. There are no changes here: it keeps the same mechanicals as the Focus ST Edition presented in 2021. A 0-100 km/h acceleration of 5.7 seconds may no longer be as impressive now that electric cars have accustomed us to figures that until recently were reserved for high-horsepower sports cars; but I can assure you that getting under 6 seconds is already the mark of a very quick car.

The gearbox is always a 6-speed manual, and top speed is limited to 250 km/h. But when we’re talking about a car capable of meeting the demands of track driving, a powerful engine alone is not enough…
Adjustable suspension and Brembo brakes
And the Focus ST Edition has everything that’s needed. To begin with, adjustable coilover suspension inspired by the units used on competition vehicles, signed by KW Automotive. It lowers the body height by 10 mm, the springs are 50% stiffer than on the standard Focus ST, and it offers an additional 20 mm of ride-height adjustment. It also allows rebound adjustment across 12 positions and 16 levels of damper rebound in extension. Ford includes with the car a technical document with different recommended setups for different driving styles, one of them specific to the Nürburgring.
Another notable feature of the Focus ST Edition is the 19-inch wheels, manufactured using a special process that reduces unsprung mass by 10%, shod with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres. The front-axle brakes are Brembo.

This special edition is offered in an exclusive Azul Azura body colour, with gloss black details. Its standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control and a 675-watt B&O sound system with ten speakers and a subwoofer.
