Ford GT Merkury 4 by GT Guy and Camilo Pardo
Merkury 7 is the name chosen to set apart this Ford GT, prepared by GT Guy in the USA with the collaboration of Camilo Pardo, one of the key figures who designed the Ford GT discontinued by Ford in 2006.

How many Ford GT were built over the course of two years? Not many, since Ford could barely sell all the GTs it built up to 2006: according to some sources, no more than 4,500 units, and according to others, just over 4,000. It’s not that there are so many that one would risk it with the independent tuners, of which there are many in the American union, but one of the surviving Ford GTs has been turned into the Merkury 4. A very special Ford GT.
GT Guy took charge of building this GT, following a new design direction personally created by Camilo Pardo, one of the names behind the revival of the GT back in 2004. On this occasion he limited himself to designing the vehicle’s graphics, which doesn’t seem crucial enough to call on this figure, although the strong point of the Merkury 7 is its chrome paint.

As if the visual impact of a chrome GT weren’t enough, these guys have made sure the Merkury 7 is unforgettable. To do so, they have replaced the turbo and added some Ford Performance accessories so the result is 725 horsepower.
There is no doubt that chrome paint looks better on some models than others, and this Ford GT lands on the side of those that look better. But on the other hand, and setting chrome aside for a moment, I think we are at the point where Ford should reconsider building the GT again. What do you think?
