Ford Kuga Range / versions SUV
Ford Kuga Vignale, a compact and luxurious crossover

Some time ago Ford launched the Mondeo Vignale, a version aimed at a type of customer looking for “something more Premium” and stylish. Then, a few months ago, the American brand informed us that Vignale would stop being a single-model version and would become a range, expanding to several more models.
The protagonist of these lines is precisely one of those new Vignale models that was set to arrive, the new Ford Kuga Vignale, which will join the aforementioned Mondeo Vignale over the course of the year, as well as the also new S-Max Vignale and the Edge Vignale. It takes the base of the Ford Kuga, but adds some aesthetic changes both inside and outside to give it a more elegant image that is not usually associated with a mid-range model from a mainstream brand.
Regarding the exterior, the first thing that characterises it is its body colour, a pearlescent shade called “Vignale Milano Grigio”, which is the one we see in the images. At the front it gets a large hexagonal grille, the brand’s signature, along with chrome surrounds on the fog lights and the lower air intake. The side view also has a stronger presence thanks to the chrome roof rails, the “Vignale” badges and the stylised alloy wheels. The exterior look is completed by a chrome-finished protective trim on the lower rear and two exhaust outlets, one on each side.

Inside, this is where the “luxury” we mentioned at the beginning is most apparent. The seats are trimmed in Windsor leather with hexagonal stitching patterns, which also appear on the dashboard and door panels.
Mechanically, it is available in the most powerful versions, namely the 2-litre TDCi diesels with 150 and 180 hp, and the 1.5 EcoBoost with 150 and 182 hp. Depending on the engine versions, they may come with a manual or automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive or the American brand’s All Wheel Drive system. This 4×4 traction manages the torque sent to one axle or the other depending on conditions, being able to make that decision in 20 milliseconds.
Each unit is hand-finished in Valencia, at the Vignale Centre the brand has in the city. Ford has not disclosed either sale prices or exactly when it will reach the market, only guaranteeing that it will be before the end of this year.
