Get your wallet ready if you want an M4 CS, because BMW has already set its price for Spain

BMW announces that only 25 of the 1,700 units it will build of the exclusive M4 CS will reach Spain, at a price already revealed and undoubtedly dizzying

Last May, BMW announced the arrival of a new member of the M4 family: the new M4 CS, a model that inherits the best of the comfort and ease of use offered by the M4 Competition but, in terms of radicalness, chooses to resemble the M4 CSL, and which was created with a clear orientation towards the track and time attacks.

Let’s recall that aesthetically it will look like an M4 Competition, but with clear distinguishing elements so you know which model you’re looking at, in case the name alone isn’t clear enough. At the front, the grille gets red outline trim in place of the frame, something that is also applied to the rear “M4 CS” badges, while its front light cluster features yellow daytime running lights, and at the rear it uses Laserlight technology for the taillights.

There will be numerous elements taken from the M4 CSL to improve both the weight and the aerodynamics of the M4 CS, such as the front splitter, the roof, the mirror housings, the rear spoiler and the diffuser, all of them made of carbon fibre. Furthermore, the bodywork can be chosen in Brooklyn Grey metallic and Sapphire Black metallic, although there will also be two exclusive colours for this model: Individual Riviera Blue and Frozen Isle of Man Green Metallic.

Upon entering the interior, we will see that both driver and front passenger will enjoy the excellent support provided by the M Carbon seats, equipped with electric adjustment and heating and upholstered in Merino leather in two colours. This combination is also used for the rear seats, and unlike the M4 CSL, the M4 CS does allow you to carry passengers in the back. This sporty atmosphere is rounded off by carbon fibre inserts, an anthracite roof and Alcantara upholstery for the steering wheel.

Equipped with the BMW Curved Display, which consists of a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch screen for the infotainment system, it features M-specific functions such as the M Drift Analyser and the M Laptimer. It also has others for everyday use, such as the head-up display, navigation via BMW Maps, WiFi interface and wireless charging, as well as standard features worth highlighting, including an alarm, dual-zone automatic climate control, the Harman Kardon sound system, parking distance control, parking assistant, front collision warning, unintended lane change warning and speed limit information system.

Mechanically, it continues to use the 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology, delivering the same power as the M4 CSL, namely 550 CV, and a torque of 650 Nm which, unlike its bigger sibling, is sent to all four wheels through the M xDrive system instead of being exclusively rear-wheel drive. It also comes with an eight-speed M Steptronic automatic gearbox and, as standard, an M Compound braking system with black or red calipers behind 19-inch wheels on the front axle and 20-inch wheels on the rear.

BMW has confirmed that it will build only 1,700 units of the M4 CS for the whole world, of which only 25 units will reach Spain, with a price set by the brand at 193,100 euros. If you are one of the fortunate few who can afford it, don’t delay in getting one: it is already available to order at BMW dealerships in Spain.
