Hyundai presents the final version of its new Pleos Connect infotainment system
Pleos Connect represents a notable effort by Hyundai to combine advanced technology with a practical, accessible interface, while retaining some physical buttons for key functions.
The new infotainment system from Hyundai Motor Group, called Pleos Connect, is now ready. The South Korean company plans to equip nearly 20 million vehicles of the Hyundai, Kia and Genesis brands with this technology by 2030.
This is a significant step forward for the South Korean automotive group, which until now offered software experiences that were adequate but clearly had room for improvement. Pleos Connect aims to resolve the previous limitations by combining screens and physical controls, while also placing special emphasis on the use of Artificial Intelligence.

All vehicles equipped with this system will feature a large, minimalist-design central touchscreen, which can be split into three simultaneous zones to display controls for driver assistance, navigation and multimedia content. The system also includes a bottom bar with virtual buttons and a speed indicator in the upper left corner.
Pleos Connect does not run exclusively on the central screen
Apart from the central screen, which remains the main star, Pleos Connect has been developed to simultaneously integrate a second, smaller screen behind the steering wheel, which serves as the digital instrument cluster. It should also be noted that, in addition, below the main screen there is a row of physical buttons for quick access to the heated seat controls, temperature control and audio volume.
Hyundai has created its own app store, where drivers will be able to download whichever ones they wish from a wide variety available. YouTube and Spotify are already available as standard, and more options will be added over time.

At the heart of the system is Gleo AI, a voice assistant developed in-house by the company. This assistant can handle multiple commands at the same time, understand the context of the conversation and the driving situation, and even automatically identify who is speaking and from which seat in order to carry out the command. The front passenger can, for example, ask for their seat to be heated without needing to specify “passenger seat“. In the future, Gleo AI will integrate with other applications to recommend favourite shops or suggest destinations based on the driver’s tastes.
“Pleos Connect is born from our commitment to understanding our customers’ mobility experiences. Following its launch, we will continue listening to users’ feedback in order to keep improving and enriching every journey.”

The first model to incorporate Pleos Connect will be the updated Hyundai Grandeur, which will be unveiled next month in South Korea. Shortly afterwards it will arrive at the Hyundai IONIQ 3 in Europe, with progressive expansion to other markets in future models.
