KYMCO Xciting VS 400: new equipment and engine for the flagship model
The Taiwanese brand Kymco has surprised with the renewal of the Xciting VS 400, a motorcycle that combines sporty and urban style in a single machine for a price of €6,999

The Taiwanese brand Kymco has surprised us once again by launching a new maxi-scooter presented as a more comfortable and elegant vehicle, the KYMCO Xciting VS 400. KYMCO has always strived to offer affordable options that meet consumer needs, and with more than 18 years in the sector, it has gained great popularity in Spain and widespread recognition among holders of the A2 licence.
In 2005, the Xciting hit the market and, in 2008, it evolved into the well-known Xciting 250R. Over these years, they have shown how the brand’s technology and innovation have grown steadily, continuously updating its range with recently launched models such as the Agility S 125 and the Agility City Plus.

Now, they want to prove it once more with the Xciting VS 400 which, together with its predecessor the Xciting S 400 TCS, offers two scooters with the most equipment and features, ready to compete with models such as the SYM Maxsym TL 508.
This maxi-scooter is already available in Spain in two colours to choose from: black (satin black main bodywork combined with elegant piano black) and white (satin white main bodywork combined with copper brown) and at a modest starting price of just €6,999.

Single-cylinder 4-stroke engine
The Xciting VS 400 has unique features that demonstrate the brand’s strength in technology and innovation. It features a 400cc single-cylinder 4-stroke engine that delivers a maximum power of 34 CV (24.9 kW) at 7,250 rpm.
It also has a windscreen adjustable in 5 positions without tools and folding footrests. Its automatically opening storage compartment provides space for a full-face helmet and a courtesy light.

The maxi-scooter has a length of 2,190 mm and a width of 799 mm, with the seat 805 mm from the ground. With these dimensions, the scooter weighs 213 kg.
Redesigned with new equipment
The front headlight has been renewed and fitted with LED lights; it is smaller and lighter, and sits in a lower position, improving both its output and its coverage. In addition, the new position light at the top helps other road users see the bike more easily. This shapes the front design, giving it a more elegant and sporty look.

The new seat not only offers an aesthetic improvement but also a more relaxed and secure riding position thanks to its new upholstery and curvature. On the other hand, the TFT display provides very comprehensive information on a panoramic surface, showing the most relevant data prominently in the centre, allowing instant and intuitive reading.
As for the braking system, the Xciting VS 400 features a powerful floating disc system of Ø 280 mm with radial calipers, along with an advanced Bosch ABS system. These features ensure efficient and safe braking, especially when combined with the monolithic double-tube fork and the Traction Control System (TCS), which reduces tyre slip in specific situations.

In addition, adjustments have been made to the chassis of the vehicle, such as the incorporation of a double-fork structure for the front suspension, which improves rigidity in corners and increases stability.
This model features the ‘Keyless‘ automatic start, which allows the bike to be started when we approach it without needing to insert the key or press any button on the remote.
