Laffite Supercars will have its supercar off-roader ready by the end of this year, and it promises an incredible experience on the road and off-road

Supercars are usually focused on the track or, in some cases, on the road. So their owners can enjoy and show off one of these supercars that bring so much joy to those who own them. But today we are going to talk about a supercar that can tackle those tricky terrains. It is the Laffite G-Tec X-Road, a supercar born precisely from that idea.

Everything started with an idea from a project led by Bruno Laffite, who launched the SandRacer GT prototype from Zarooq Motors. It never took off, but it has become the Laffite G-Tec X-Road, which has moved to California and is slowly taking shape. The headquarters is in Los Angeles, although Laffite Supercars also has offices in Miami and Valencia, so the work is divided among these three locations to deliver a car that is efficient and, at the same time, luxurious.

The company G-Tec also takes part in this project, and it has been responsible for designing and manufacturing the chassis from chromoly steel. The promoters of this model claim that it is an off-road supercar adapted for road use, so its features can be kept in line with homologation for everyday use.

The engine powering this model is a 6.2-liter GM LS V8 block, which delivers 720 CV to the rear wheels through a six-speed sequential gearbox with paddle shifters on the steering wheel. The car weighs only 1,300 kg, so it offers a power-to-weight ratio of 1.86 kg/CV. Its top speed reaches 230 km/h, which is not bad at all.

The off-road capabilities come thanks, among other things, to the 17-inch suspension travel and the BF Goodrich tyres, which allow it to face terrains where others would fall short. The Laffite G-Tec X-Road will be available in a run of 30 units and deliveries will begin at the end of 2020, with a price of 465,000 dollars.

An even more limited edition of an electric version is also expected, which would be available at a price of 545,000 dollars. It is not the only project the company has underway, since in a short time we will have another supercar model under the brand ready for the market.
