Lamborghini Aventador SVJ: only for 900 privileged owners
The latest “beast” from Lamborghini, the Aventador SVJ, will be built in just 900 units, at a price of €350,000 before taxes.
It arrives with the reputation of being the fastest production sports car around the Nürburgring, where it recently broke the record set by the Porsche 911 GT2 RS, posting a time of 6m 44.97 seconds while still in development. Now the new Lamborghini Aventador SVJ makes its public debut flexing its muscles at Pebble Beach.

And those muscles are no joke. Beneath its bodywork, the Aventador SVJ houses an engine producing 770 CV. Practically the same output as another supercar presented at Pebble Beach, the Audi PB18 e-tron. The difference is that in the case of the Audi, the power comes from three electric motors, whereas the “Lambo” is quite the opposite. We are dealing with a 6.5-litre V12 with no room for any kind of electrification.
There is no turbocharging either, as it is a naturally aspirated engine. Peak power arrives at 8,500 rpm, and the maximum torque of 720 Nm is reached at 6,750 rpm.

Its performance gives an idea of its power. It goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, needing just 8.6 seconds to reach 200 km/h from a standstill, and its top speed is 350 km/h. To stop from 100 km/h, it only needs 30 metres. With a total weight of 1,525 kg, the power-to-weight ratio is 1.98 kg/CV.
Active aerodynamics for improved handling
Another of the SVJ’s keys compared with the Aventador S is its aerodynamics. Extensive work has gone into an evolution of the ALA active aerodynamics system (Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva), first introduced on the Lamborghini Huracán.
This ALA 2.0 can now adjust the flaps, spoilers and airflow over the bodywork, taking into account even the lateral acceleration the vehicle is subjected to. This increases downforce on both axles by 40%, while improving the drag coefficient by 1%.

That’s not all. The suspension is no less than 50% stiffer than on the Aventador SV, and the four-wheel-drive management system has been recalibrated so that it now sends 3% more torque to the rear axle. The four-wheel steering receives specific adjustments, and Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres, developed exclusively for this model, are fitted.

Lamborghini has also presented at Pebble Beach the Aventador SVJ 63, with special livery paying tribute to 1963, the year the brand was founded. It features a black-and-white exterior finish with the number 63 on the doors, matching the number of limited units that will be offered of this version.
