Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo: Italian excellence arrives in Spain with 542 CV
The Italian Embassy in Madrid became the setting for the presentation of the new Italian luxury convertible, the Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo

The Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo has arrived in Spain, and it has done so in grand style. On the evening of Thursday, July 18, the Italian Embassy in Madrid was transformed into the stage for the presentation of one of the most anticipated convertibles of the year. At an event organised in collaboration with Astara Retail, the official Maserati dealership in Madrid, and the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Spain, clients and specialist press were shown the latest jewel of Italian engineering and design.
At the heart of the GranCabrio Trofeo is the powerful 3-litre twin-turbo Nettuno V6 engine, capable of producing 542 CV, which reaches the road through its all-wheel drive. This setup, combined with a front differential aligned with the engine, makes it one of the best sports cars of the moment.

Four driving modes
The GranCabrio Trofeo offers four driving modes: COMFORT, GT, SPORT and CORSA, plus the ESC-OFF option to disable electronic stability control. These modes can be selected via a rotary control on the steering wheel, which also allows the suspension to be adjusted. This versatility ensures the driver can tailor the car’s behaviour to different situations and preferences.
In terms of performance, the GranCabrio Trofeo impresses with a maximum torque of 650 Nm, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 12.2 seconds, and a top speed of 316 km/h. These figures reflect Maserati’s commitment to performance excellence.

Up to four seats in the open air
The Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo stands out not only for its sporting performance but also for its exceptional comfort. This model offers four genuine seats, providing the comfort needed for long journeys in total ease. Its compact hood leaves enough room for the luggage of four people, making the GranCabrio the ideal companion for any adventure.
The hood can be operated on the move at speeds of up to 50 km/h, folding away completely in just 14 seconds. The controls on the central screen, designed for maximum intuitiveness, let the driver move between options without taking their eyes off the road. In addition, the neck warmer and wind deflector ensure a comfortable journey even with the roof down, minimising turbulence and delivering exceptional acoustic and thermal comfort.

The GranCabrio Trofeo’s cabin also features the latest technology, equipped with innovative systems such as the MIA multimedia assistant (Maserati Intelligent Assistant), a touchscreen showing the main functions, a digital clock and an optional HUD display. The sound experience is unmatched, not only because of the Nettuno engine’s note but also thanks to the immersive Sonus faber 3D sound system, which delivers a unique enveloping sensation.
The Folgore range also shines in Madrid
The GranCabrio Trofeo was not alone at its presentation. It was joined by the electrified models of the Folgore range: the GranTurismo Folgore and the Grecale Folgore. The GranTurismo Folgore, Maserati’s first 100% electric car, produces 760 CV and reaches a top speed of 325 km/h, while the Grecale Folgore, the first electric SUV of the Trident, offers a range of 500 kilometres and 550 CV of power.
