Nissan Navara Pro-4X Warrior, radical and extreme

The new Nissan Navara Pro-4X Warrior is the most radical and exclusive version of the latest generation of the Japanese pick-up. Improving its safety and off-road capabilities and, with them, the driving fun, Nissan together with the automotive engineering specialist Premcar have created a perfect recipe. This version is an exclusive model for the Australian market, so unfortunately, it is a bit far from us.

Joining forces

The relationship between Nissan and Premcar is not recent; they have been partners for years, developing the Warrior program. A program in which both companies work together to bring the off-road capabilities of each model to the highest level. As is the case with this Navara Pro-4X.

Aesthetically, the Warrior’s look is much more robust and imposing than the standard version. Its front features a new front bumper with straight, angular shapes, a red skid plate bearing the model’s signature, widened wheel arches and Cooper Discover All Terrain AT3 tires, 17 inches in size.

Inside, it features a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and an 8-inch infotainment system with compatibility for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

More height, more width…

In terms of dynamics, the Navara Pro-4X has 40 millimeters more ground clearance than the standard Navara, with 260 millimeters in total. The suspension is one of the key components for a vehicle of this kind, being a decisive factor in how the vehicle behaves.

The approach angle has improved from 32 to 36 degrees, while the departure angle has decreased from 19.8 to 19 degrees. The suspension calibration has also been set up for better ride comfort and greater control of the vehicle over uneven terrain.

Under the hood, the Navara Pro-4X Warrior features a four-cylinder, 2.3-litre diesel engine producing 189 CV of power and 450 Nm of torque, capable of carrying up to 961 kilos in its bed when fitted with the six-speed manual gearbox, and towing up to 3.5 tonnes. A seven-speed automatic transmission is also available as an option.
