ONLOGIST: goodbye paperwork, the vehicle transfer service that is revolutionising logistics in Spain

One platform, 2,000 drivers and more than 150 clients in less than three years. ONLOGIST is reshaping fleet logistics in Spain with data and efficiency: up to 30% savings in costs and live tracking of every transfer

If you thought moving a car from one dealership to another was a boring chore, welcome to the software that moves mobility (sorry for the redundancy, but that’s how it is). ONLOGIST, the German platform that in 2014 decided to enter fully into a sector more outdated than a turbo-less diesel, has just shown in Madrid that its model not only works: it drives, accelerates and convinces.

In less than three years in Spain, ONLOGIST has gone from being “that German experiment with 10 clients” to having more than 2,000 drivers and 150 companies that rely on its technology to move fleets, renting and subscription cars. What used to be endless paperwork and phone calls is now as simple as uploading a transfer to the platform, setting the price and letting drivers bid. Yes, like eBay, but with car keys.

A market that badly needed a reset

Car renting continues to grow at double-digit rates in Spain, private individuals are signing up massively for leasing and corporate fleets keep expanding. The result? Thousands of cars that have to be moved from point A to point B every day. Previously, this was the territory of opaque operators, unclear rates and manual processes. Today, ONLOGIST boasts of having restored order with a model where the client has full transparency, traceability and even the option for the driver to get paid the same day.

The company sums it up without beating around the bush:

  • 30% lower costs by eliminating intermediaries.

  • Transfers in under 24 hours.

  • Live tracking with comprehensive insurance.

  • 80% less administrative burden.

The key: software that turns every transfer into an auction

The heart of ONLOGIST is neither the cars nor the drivers: it is its digital platform. There, the company posts the transfer, sets the price it considers fair and professional drivers bid for the service. The result: an open, competitive and, above all, transparent market.

But there’s more. The new structure incorporates full service transport (yes, even with its own trailer if the client needs one), and an internal scoring system that ranks drivers based on experience and reliability. Self-employed drivers start with two trial transfers and, as they complete more trips, unlock more options: from setting up their own limited company to accessing better conditions.

In a sector used to phone contracts and endless spreadsheets, this is almost fantasy.

Spain, the perfect testing ground

The Iberian Peninsula is currently ONLOGIST’s great laboratory. According to Augusto Macedo, director for Iberia, “the market combines volume, growing renting and the need for professionalisation”. Put another way: a context so favourable that it would be almost strange if it didn’t work.

And the numbers speak for themselves:

  • In Europe they manage 400,000 transfers a year.

  • In Spain they already exceed 3,000 a month.

  • By 2026, the goal is 3,000 drivers, 70,000 operations a year and 250 clients across Europe.

The future of fleet logistics?

In an ecosystem where digitalisation is no longer an advantage but a requirement, ONLOGIST is playing hard: speed, clear prices and less bureaucracy. And it does so with a secret weapon that no traditional competitor has wanted to embrace: putting control in the hands of the client.

Because in the end, moving cars was never glamorous… until someone decided to give it the same digital treatment as ordering a ride or buying festival tickets. ONLOGIST doesn’t sell smoke, it sells something better: time, savings and peace of mind.

As one of those in charge said at the end of the meeting: “Spain is not an experiment, it is a natural extension of a proven model that works very well”. And seeing the muscle it already has after just three years, it would not be far-fetched to think that ONLOGIST could become the invisible standard behind every rental car that changes hands.
