A3 Audi R8 Hybrid Cars Concepts Coupés Salón de París
Paris Motor Show 2014: Audi

Audi did not want to miss the 2014 Paris Motor Show, so it dressed its stand at the Parisian event with its best models and presented its new releases to the public, who did not want to miss the biggest car event of the year on the European continent. New versions replacing the previous ones and concepts that will become part of the history of the brand with the four rings are the true stars of these novelties.
The main model presented by Audi is the TT Sportback Concept, which represents the logical evolution of the 2015 TT, combining the coupé look of the four-ring brand with the styling of the A5 Sportback and A7 Sportback. It has four seats and five doors and is somewhat larger than the production model.
This prototype is 29 centimetres longer and its wheelbase has grown by 12 centimetres. Inside, the Virtual Cockpit stands out, a 12.3-inch screen that replaces the traditional instrument cluster. The 2.0 TFSI engine produces 400 CV, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
The Audi R8 LMX was also on show, which, beyond its specifications, features the novelty of laser-technology headlights. These headlights, being introduced thanks to this model, can illuminate up to 500 metres ahead. In addition, the beam adjusts automatically when it detects a vehicle approaching from the front.

The Audi TT is also present at the Paris Motor Show, in its third generation. It is more powerful than its predecessor but, on the other hand, reduces CO2 emissions by 11%. The lightweight construction of the Audi TT means its lower weight contributes to efficiency, and its engines are more efficient as well.
The Audi A3 Sportback e-tron has been another of the stars at Audi’s stand. It is the first incorporation of plug-in hybrid technology into the German brand, which will use a 1.4 TFSI petrol engine with a power output of 150 CV combined with an electric motor of 75 kW, equivalent to 102 CV.
Its lithium-ion battery can be charged in just two hours using an industrial connection and a little under four hours through a conventional plug. Visitors to the show were able to see how charging, and even air conditioning, can be controlled through a smartphone app.
