Pirelli, the world leader in the manufacture of high-performance tyres, reaffirms its position as original equipment supplier for the refreshed Porsche Cayenne. This collaboration, which dates back to 2002, has reached a new milestone with the latest facelift of the SUV, offering a range of products from the P Zero family that redefines the driving experience.

The Cayenne, an icon among sports SUVs, will be enhanced by the P Zero, P Zero Corsa and Scorpion Winter 2 tyres, the latter specifically designed to provide safety in winter conditions. These tyres will be available in sizes ranging from 20 to 22 inches, covering the needs of the most demanding drivers. In some markets, the versatile Scorpion Zero All Season will also be launched.

Three tyres to suit your driving

The P Zero adapted for the Cayenne facelift has been developed to meet strict requirements for manoeuvrability, steering precision, stability and safety, with a focus on emergency manoeuvres. All approved sizes have achieved the maximum rating on the energy label for braking on wet surfaces. In addition, at high speeds, the P Zero has been designed to withstand the high loads and torque generated by the vehicle.

For those seeking a more sporty driving experience or even on track, Pirelli offers the P Zero Corsa. This tyre, derived from the P Zero Corsa that contributed to the Porsche Cayenne GT lap record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 2021, shares tread compounds inspired by the world of motorsport.

The big news is the inclusion of the Pirelli Scorpion Winter 2, designed specifically for the Cayenne. This winter tyre guarantees safety at low temperatures and on snow, without sacrificing high performance on dry and wet surfaces. The challenge for Pirelli’s engineers was to maintain the characteristic DNA required by Porsche for summer tyres, achieving a winter compound that delivers driving comfort and exceptional grip in extreme conditions.

In the Porsche Cayenne S version, an improved version of the 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine is introduced, replacing the previous V6. With a maximum output of 474 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque, both SUV models can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 273 km/h.

The Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid features a six-cylinder engine, which raises the total output to 470 CV (346 kW). With an improved high-voltage battery, which can have a capacity of up to 25.9 kWh, the vehicle has an electric range of up to 90 kilometres and can be charged in less than two and a half hours thanks to the new 11 kW on-board charger.

The latest version is the GT Turbo, which, unfortunately, will not be sold in Europe but will be available in other markets, leaving the brand slightly behind its main competitors such as the Ferrari Purosangue or the Lamborghini Urus.

Equipping the Cayenne since its first generation

The partnership between Pirelli and the Cayenne dates back to the launch of the first generation in 2002, when the model became the first sports SUV in history. Since then, Pirelli has worked closely with Porsche, adapting its tyres to the various Cayenne variants, including the Cayenne S Hybrid, Porsche’s first hybrid, the Cayenne S E-Hybrid, a plug-in hybrid, and the current Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, the most powerful Cayenne to date.
