Porsche announces the arrival of two new versions to the 911 family. These are the new 911 Turbo and Turbo S Cabriolet, which complete the convertible range. In this way, they become the fastest 911 Cabriolets ever created to date.

Porsche continues to complete the range of the eternal German sports car, and this time it is the turn of the fastest convertible versions ever created to date. We are talking about the new 911 Turbo and Turbo S Cabriolet.

These are the fastest and most expensive alternatives in the 911 range so far, which will be seen for the first time at the Los Angeles Auto Show, scheduled to take place in mid-November.

These new open-top versions are based on the closed 911, from which the roof is removed and replaced with a soft top. To maintain the torsional rigidity and driving characteristics typical of a 911, the roof pillars have been reinforced with materials such as magnesium, which help increase safety without the weight soaring. Since Porsche, they have wanted to maintain the lines of the closed version, and thanks to the use of these materials they have achieved it.
The new 911 Turbo and Turbo S Cabriolet can be opened at speeds of up to 50 km/h, completing the operation in 13 seconds.

The interior is exactly the same as in the closed versions, that is, a completely redesigned cabin compared to its predecessor, featuring a new design, new materials and a multitude of equipment. We find a dashboard completely upholstered in leather, a Bose sound system, or ergonomic seats with a sporty finish. Of course, customization options remain immense.

In the engines section, the alternatives are the same as in the closed versions, that is, the famous 6-cylinder boxer engine with 3.8 liters of displacement, twin-turbocharged, offering 520 and 560 CV depending on whether we choose the Turbo or the Turbo S version. They are always combined with the 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic gearbox. These new versions accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 or 3.1 seconds, reaching a top speed of 314 km/h in both cases.
