Range Rover 2022: greater refinement, luxury and efficiency for the renewal of the popular British SUV
The new Range Rover renewal, in addition to sporting an elegant and modern design, improves its electric range, its ride comfort and its advanced technological features

After telling you our impressions just over a month ago, when we met the new Range Rover 2022 in person, the British brand has just made official the new features of this renewal, which make the popular luxury SUV one of the most interesting options in its segment thanks to its great refinement, luxury and efficiency.
With all this, the new Range Rover will be built on the MLA-Flex platform, which allows it to offer four, five or seven seats for its occupants, a standard and a long wheelbase, and even a fully electric version that will be presented next year, 2024.
Elegance and simplicity
As far as its design is concerned, the new Range Rover features a cleaner and more modern design, even improving its aerodynamic coefficient from 0.34 to 0.31 cx, while retaining iconic design features such as its three side vents, its low roofline and its robust look.

The rear of the new Range Rover is the most distinctive part of this renewal, as it features new hidden rear light clusters with LED technology and a split tailgate, thanks to its gloss black pillars, giving it a very distinguished look.
The range of the new Range Rover 2022 consists of the SE, HSE and Autobiography trims. The Fist Edition trim, which will only be available during the first year with exclusive specifications, will be based on the latter, and finally, the SV, created by the Special Vehicle Operations division with virtually unlimited customisation possibilities.
A truly advanced cabin
Moving on to the interior of this renewal, the new Range Rover combines modern technology with the wide range of materials and finishes the brand offers, such as its refined leather and its new Ultrafabrics fabric, which produces a quarter of the CO2 emissions of traditional leather.

Leading its technological features, the new Range Rover comes with a 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 13.7-inch fully digital instrument cluster. But that’s not all, as rear-seat passengers can also enjoy an 11.4-inch touchscreen built into the front headrests.
Another major new feature is the new Meridian 1600 W sound system, which provides a cabin completely insulated from external noise, as it has a 20 W speaker in each headrest to deliver an immersive surround sound experience.
Added to this, we also find the Cabin Air Purification Pro system, which reduces allergens and eliminates pathogens, thereby reducing unpleasant odours or even viruses, something that has become very fashionable lately.

The British brand has wanted to eliminate all kinds of driver distractions to provide a more pleasant experience, for which it has installed the Amazon Alexa voice assistant, with which you can control music, navigation, traffic updates or even the smart devices in your home.
Considering that we are dealing with a vehicle more than five metres long, the importance of its manoeuvrability and agility is truly significant, so Range Rover has decided to fit all its versions as standard with four-wheel steering on both axles, which offers a rear-axle steering angle of up to 7 degrees, providing better stability at high speed and greater manoeuvrability at low speeds.
Its engines and prices
As for its engines, the new Range Rover has two six-cylinder inline diesel engines with a displacement of 3.0 litres, producing 300 CV and 560 Nm of torque in the D300 version, and 350 CV and 700 Nm of torque in the D350 version.

In addition to these two engines, there are two plug-in hybrid versions called P440e and P510e, which both improve their maximum range to 113 kilometres and produce 440 CV and 510 CV respectively, sitting just below the new twin-turbo V8 petrol engine of the P530, which produces 530 CV and is 17% more efficient than the previous version.
Finally, the price of the new Range Rover starts at 135,550 euros for the PHEV P440e version with SE trim, from 143,300 euros for the D300 diesel version and from 157,650 euros for the P530.
