The Audi e-tron completes its range in Spain with the arrival of the e-tron 50 and the e-tron Sportback
The Audi e-tron range expands its offering in Spain with the arrival of the entry-level e-tron 50 variant and the Sportback bodywork for both powertrains

Last summer, Audi introduced new features to its electric SUV, the e-tron, with the arrival of an entry-level version called e-tron 50, which joined the e-tron 55, a model we had the chance to test for you. Meanwhile, the brand with the four rings ended the year with the introduction of the Sportback bodywork, a version designed to offer a sportier and more dynamic look.
Audi e-tron 50 Quattro
The new entry-level variant of the e-tron range, the e-tron 50 Quattro, shares the same luxury and quality features as its bigger sibling in this fully electric SUV, but it is aimed at those who do not undertake long journeys, as its range is reduced compared with the e-tron 55. In this way, the big news lies, as we already mentioned, in its powertrain.

The Audi e-tron 50 Quattro uses two electric motors, one on the front axle and another on the rear axle, which deliver a total system power of 313 CV together with a torque of 540 Nm, allowing it to reach 100 km/h in 7 seconds and a limited top speed of 190 km/h. The rear electric motor will always be on by default, while the front one will engage according to the needs of the system, which also applies to the Quattro all-wheel drive, which will transmit power to the wheels depending on demand and road conditions.
The electrical energy is stored in a 71 kWh battery, which is 24 kWh less than the battery used by the e-tron 55 Quattro, giving it a maximum range already confirmed at 336 km under the WLTP test cycle. This battery can be recharged at 120 kW fast-charging stations in about 30 minutes; it can also be charged with alternating current at 11 kW, though the time rises to seven hours, and finally with the optional second cable for charging stations with a power of up to 22 kW.
The Audi e-tron 50 Quattro is already available on the Spanish market, with a starting price set by the brand at 73,040 euros.
Audi e-tron Sportback
If we want a bolder and sportier look, we can opt for the e-tron Sportback variant, a version that will be available with both the new e-tron 50 powertrain and the e-tron 55. The great advantage of the Audi e-tron Sportback is that it is not just a new design; thanks to its bodywork lines it improves its drag coefficient by 0.25 compared with the standard bodywork. This allows it to slightly increase range, reaching 345 km in the e-tron 50 Sportback version and 444 km in the e-tron 55 Sportback, both figures under the WLTP test cycle.

Nor should you be fooled by the interior of the Audi e-tron Sportback: although it features coupe-style lines with a roofline that drops towards the rear, rear-seat occupants will enjoy plenty of space and comfort, with only 20 mm less headroom than the standard bodywork. In addition, it retains a generous boot capacity, set at 615 litres if we include the front compartment for the charging cable and tools.
The new Audi e-tron Sportback is also already available in Spain with a surcharge of 2,300 euros, which translates into a starting price of 75,340 euros for the e-tron 50 Sportback and a starting price of 87,080 euros for the e-tron 55 Sportback.
New S Line trim level
With the arrival of the Audi e-tron Sportback, the brand has taken the opportunity to update the available trim levels, introducing as the big news the S Line trim, which replaces the Sport trim. The new S Line trim strengthens and enhances a sportier finish, bringing the S Line package to both the exterior and the interior, along with front seats with electric adjustment, sport air suspension, specific 20-inch wheels and Lane Change Warning.

We can reinforce this image even further by choosing the Black Line trim, which adds the black styling package, black roof bars, tinted glass and specific wheels. It should be noted that in this trim the wheels become 20 inches, which help achieve better range, while the 21-inch wheels become optional equipment. Another element that becomes optional equipment across all versions is the Audi Virtual Mirror electronic rear-view mirrors, thereby reducing the price jump from the Advanced trim to these two new trims.
The Home Charging Service is improved by Audi
Another very important point to note is that a subsidy offered by Audi for installing a charging point at home is now available. To make use of it, the customer only needs to request it at their nearest Audi dealership, which will send an installer to their home to prepare a personalised, no-cost quote, against which the subsidy provided by Audi can be deducted when purchasing the e-tron.
