Audi TT RS Sports Cars Range / versions Other Sedans
The Audi TT RS is now official and comes with 400 CV

Audi has unveiled the most powerful version of the third generation of the TT, its sporty coupé. We are, of course, talking about the TT RS.
The TT RS inherits the spirit of its predecessor, retaining its sportiness and improving its performance, which reaches supersonic figures.
The Audi TT has earned its place in the sports car segment the hard way. The small Audi has all the ingredients to offer a well-rounded product, and enough potential to give rise to sporty versions with dream performance, as is the case with this RS variant.
The TT RS has been on sale since the previous generation, when it debuted a new 2.5 TFSI five-cylinder inline engine that evoked the fantastic five-cylinder engines Audi used in competition in the 1980s. Now, with the third generation well established, it is the turn of the most performance-oriented variant.
Externally, the RS model is distinguished from its siblings in the range thanks to a sporty kit consisting of specific front and rear bumpers, exclusive design alloy wheels in 19 or 20″, as well as a special exhaust system, designed for this model, which features the typical oval outlets of all Audi RS models. In addition, and as a first within Audi, this model will be the first to offer rear lights with OLED technology (organic light-emitting diodes), with a much more advanced and attractive design.

The 400 CV of power represents a record in the history of the TT
In the interior, the changes are less obvious. The most noticeable are the seats, which are now sportier. The steering wheel is also different, upholstered in leather and Alcantara, and features satellite controls, in the style of the R8. It is also possible to fit a detail pack in red that enhances the sportiness of the whole.
Mechanically, the TT RS stands out mainly for its engine. It maintains the architecture of the previous generation, although this 2.5 TFSI five-cylinder is a completely renewed engine compared to the one fitted to its predecessor. The maximum power of this new TT RS rises to no less than 400 CV, a record figure for a TT, while maximum torque reaches 480 Nm.
It is paired exclusively with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, which distributes power to all four wheels through an intelligent all-wheel-drive system. With these credentials, the TT RS is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds in the coupé version, and 3.9 seconds for the convertible version. The top speed of both body styles is limited to 250 km/h, although an option is available to raise the limit to 280 km/h.
