The BMW M2 dressed in black with Manhart's new kit looks absolutely spectacular like this

Manhart has launched an improved version of the M2, offering a more dynamic and attractive look, along with a considerable increase in power.

About a year ago Manhart announced the MH2 560 kit, designed for the BMW M2. Now the tuner has wanted us to see it already equipped with this package. The coupé presents a more striking image, with a new carbon fibre body kit, larger wheels, redesigned dampers and a considerable increase in power. This will make the M2 surpass even the M4, although Manhart does not rule out an even more intense tuning package in the near future.

Regarding the look of this improved variant, its appearance is more subtle than what could be seen in the initial renders, which is a good thing and improves the perception of the model. Decorative carbon fibre details have been added to the central grille and air intakes. There is also a new diffuser, and the bonnet is vented, which helps make it more attractive and gives it a more sporty appearance.

There are no new wings, since the ones the BMW M2 comes with from the factory are already quite attractive. Instead, the wheels now measure 20 or 21 inches, depending on the buyer’s choice. At the rear, the spoiler seen in the original render has been removed. In its place, a different carbon fibre spoiler has been fitted, attached to a diffuser.

This houses four 100-millimetre exhaust outlets in matt black, which form part of an improved exhaust system. In the case of the model shown in the images released by the tuner, we can see matt blue and grey stickers that blend perfectly into the black bodywork.

Engine changes

As for the engine, the original block, a six-cylinder twin-turbo 3.0-litre, gains a considerable 99 CV and 100 Nm over the regular variant. This brings the total to 552 CV and 650 Nm, thanks to changes to the control unit. Looking at the previous MH2 version, which produced 705 CV, there is clearly still a significant margin for creating an even more radical version.

In the case of the exhaust, it has improved in areas such as sound, thanks to the new sport downpipes. The chassis now benefits from V4 helical dampers from KW Suspension, but there are also simpler dampers for those who prefer a less radical transformation.

The kit is available to any M2 owner, so they can opt for the complete transformation or just part of it, depending on their budget. Each part has its own price, and you can add only the ones you need or prefer at any given time.
