The new Seat León promises to become a true success once again. With the arrival of its fourth generation, featuring a renewed bodywork and a host of new features, the engine options are not left behind either.

Today we tell you in detail which are the most interesting depending on your budget, or the possible driving needs you may be looking for.

A range of engines full of options

The new generation of the Seat León will feature several attractive engine options. The manufacturer aims to cover a wide spectrum of consumer needs.

Petrol engines

To begin with, the petrol engine line-up offers 5 very interesting options. We can get the 1.0 TSI with 90 or 110 CV; both engines will not disappoint and will deliver excellent performance.

If you are looking for a bit more power in petrol engines, we find the options of 1.5 TSI with 130 and 150 CV manual. Finally, the top of the range is the 2.0 TSI with 190 CV and DSG automatic dual-clutch gearbox.

Diesel engines

In the diesel options, Seat offers us 3 to choose from. These engines are characterised by low consumption and excellent emissions levels to comply with the new regulations established by the EU.

The range starts with the 2.0 TDI with 115 CV. This is followed by the option of 150 CV manual or DSG and finally the version, also 150 CV with DSG and all-wheel drive.

Mild hybrid engines (petrol)

Here we enter the ECO range with hybrid engine options combining electric and petrol mobility.

We find 2 specific options. On the one hand the 1.0 TSI with 110 CV with DSG gearbox, and on the other the 1.5 TSI with 150 CV and DSG. Both will be excellent mobility options.

CNG engines

Seat will also offer an outstanding CNG option for this new generation of the Seat León, as always accompanied by a secondary petrol engine and with the advantages offered by the ECO label.

We will have the 1.5 TGI with 130 CV with both manual and DSG automatic options. This will be the favourite option for anyone who wants to save as much as possible on their journeys.

Plug-in hybrid

Finally, and for the first time within the range for the Seat León, we find a plug-in hybrid option which, of course, will provide the zero-emissions label.

It will feature a 1.4 eHybrid engine with 204 CV combined between its petrol and electric parts.
