B05 Leapmotor Electric Cars Compact Other Sedans
The Leapmotor B05 will arrive at the Monaco Motor Show to conquer the European market
The Leapmotor B05 will be presented in September at the Monaco Motor Show and then in Munich, to be sold in our market within a few months.

The Monaco Motor Show will take place from 9 to 14 September, and we are already getting to know the cars that will be presented at this motoring event. One of them is, of course, a car from a Chinese brand that wants to carve out a place in the European market. This electric model is the Leapmotor B05, a battery electric compact based on the already known Leapmotor 01, which aims to become one of the favourites among European buyers, thanks to the partnership of Leapmotor with the Stellantis Group.
This saloon will have a restrained price and aims to stand out as one of the low-cost electric vehicles that could lead Europeans to embrace electric mobility. Its length is 4.77 metres, while its width measures 1.88 metres. The height is 1.49 metres and the wheelbase is 2.74 metres.

This model is built on the LEAP 3.5 platform, and several engine versions are expected, all with LFP battery technology. It has not yet been confirmed which versions will be sold in Europe, so we will have to wait for the event to learn more details about the model.
The Leapmotor B05 is expected to feature a 100 kW electric motor, equivalent to 136 CV, and 175 Nm of torque. In this case, it would have a 43.9 kWh LFP battery. In China, this combination offers a range of 430 km, although under the European WLTP cycle, this range would be around 380 kilometres. The top speed is 150 km/h.
Above this entry version, a combination with a 56.2 kWh battery is expected, offering a range of 550 kilometres under the Chinese CLTC cycle, equivalent to 480 kilometres under the European cycle. The models sold in China have a 132 kW motor, equivalent to 179 CV, and 175 Nm. The other available engine is 160 kW, which is 218 CV with 240 Nm.
The European market could simplify the offer and have a single engine and two battery versions, but it is too early to know. At the top of the range we find a 67.7 kWh battery, with the same 160 kW motor. With this combination a range of 650 kilometres is achieved under the CLTC cycle, which would be 570 kilometres on the WLTP cycle.
The images accompanying this article are of the already known Leapmotor models, since the image of the B05 is still a mystery, although the design line is expected to be very similar to these.
