The Netherlands is seriously considering it: no petrol or diesel cars from 2030 onwards
Petrol and diesel cars have a limited shelf life in the Netherlands from 2030 onwards, and until then the sale of electric vehicles will be encouraged

Just as we have seen some of Europe’s largest cities working to drastically reduce the polluting emissions produced by the cars that drive through them, the Netherlands is willing to cut CO2 emissions by 49% by 2030. This, of course, cannot be achieved with half-hearted measures. The country’s government wants to offer a drastic solution, so the idea is to ban the sale of internal combustion vehicles.
This ban would come into force that same year, so manufacturers will have to hurry to create models that run on electricity in order to operate on the country’s roads. They are not alone in this plan, as the United Kingdom and France are considering a similar measure, although over a slightly longer timeframe, setting this limit at 2040.

China and the state of California also plan to place restrictions on the sale of internal combustion vehicles and to promote the marketing of electric vehicles so that polluting gas emissions stop being the problem they currently represent for life in these cities.
At present, the Netherlands is considered one of the most active countries in granting aid for electric vehicles, something that will also be available in Spain. Currently, electric vehicles make up 6.4% of the vehicles on the country’s roads, a truly impressive figure compared with the presence of electric cars in other markets.
To prevent further polluting gas emissions, the Dutch government wants to eliminate other possible sources of polluting gases, such as coal-fired power plants. With these measures, the country will become a pioneer in this kind of initiative, with a significant reduction in the problems caused by polluting gases.
