The new Alpine range will be 100% electric... and it will have an SUV!
Alpine has unveiled its product plan: there will be an electric compact and an electric crossover, and the successor to the A110 will be an electric sports car developed with Lotus

New times are coming for Alpine. And not only because of the boost that the arrival of Fernando Alonso at the Formula 1 team will bring. As a brand, the new Alpine entity is the result of the partnership between Alpine Cars, Renault Sport Cars and Renault Sport Racing. And it announces a 100% electric sports car range that will put on the road cars with technology taken from the queen category of motorsport.
All of this, with the aim of reaching profitability by 2025, including in the equation the investment made to try to see an Alpine crowned as champion in the new Formula 1.
And precisely using this as an excuse, Alpine has presented the spectacular A521 concept that you can see in the images during the press conference for the Renaulition plan, where we have also seen the future of Renault with its proposal to revive the legendary Renault 5, or the jump of Dacia to a higher segment with the Dacia Bigster.
Alpine A521: the Alpine F1 team, all in
The Alpine A521 concept is nothing more than the technological “showcase” to give dimension to the presentation of Alpine’s strategic plans. And, why not, to whet the appetite for the brand’s return to Formula 1.

It presents the new identity of the Alpine F1 Team racing team, with design elements that will be kept on the race car, and others that will evolve. Because the brand will continue to have competition as one of its main pillars. Let us recall that Alpine, founded in 1955 by Jean Rédélé, began to form part of the elite of rallying in the early 1970s, becoming world champion in the discipline in 1973, although the brand’s greatest achievement came with its victory at Le Mans in 1978.
Now, the French brand has new horizons, both inside and outside of competition.
A compact sports car, an SUV and the successor to the A110, all 100% electric
And that future is electric. Alpine has already confirmed what was an open secret: the successor to the current A110 will be a 100% electric rear-wheel-drive sports car, and it will be developed in collaboration with Lotus, adapting cutting-edge technology from Formula 1.

In addition, the brand will enter the compact sports car segment (segment B) with an electric vehicle based on the alliance’s CMF-B EV platform (the one used by the Clio and Captur). And now comes another great surprise: Alpine will also launch a sporty crossover in the C segment, in this case based on the CMF-EV platform (the one that will carry the new electric Mégane), also with 100% electric propulsion.
This new generation of Alpine models will benefit from all the innovations of the Renault Group and from Formula 1 experience, both in propulsion systems and in battery charging technology, safety systems or connectivity solutions.
