The new BMW M5 offers 720 CV in its wildest tune

The new BMW M5 has just arrived in its wildest tune to date. Manhart is the mastermind behind this model.

The new BMW M5 (F90) is a beast with 600 CV of power, but the German tuner Manhart has transformed it into an even more fearsome car. Just a few days ago, ABT turned the Audi RS6 Avant into a 1,000 CV super hybrid sedan, and now it was the turn of the Munich sports saloon, which has been christened MH5 700 in its wildest tune to date.

121 CV of extra power

The MH5 700 features the same twin-turbo V8 engine as the standard model, but with one slight difference: it debuts a new power unit (ECU) that increases the car’s power to 723 CV, performance similar to supercars such as the McLaren 720 S. Unfortunately, Manhart has not confirmed how long this car takes to reach 100 km/h compared with the standard model (3.4 seconds), although with 121 CV of extra power we assume the car will shave off a few tenths of a second. What we do know is that the MH5700 takes 5.9 seconds to go from 100 to 200 km/h, a truly spectacular figure.

The car also features a new stainless-steel exhaust system that increases its sound and aggressiveness. Optionally, buyers can opt for exhaust tailpipes finished in carbon fibre.

Chassis improvements

Among the other chassis improvements are a new damping system that lowers the body height by 2 centimetres and a set of 21-inch wheels finished in aluminium “Manhart Concave”.

Design changes

In addition to the mechanical upgrades, this tune of the new BMW M5 includes a series of styling elements that set it apart from the standard model. These include a carbon-fibre exterior package that features a new front bumper, new air intakes in the front bonnet, a more aggressive rear diffuser and a rear spoiler mounted on the bonnet. The bodywork, meanwhile, is finished in a two-tone paint scheme (black and gold) that is truly eye-catching.
