The new Jeep Compass is going electric and aims to remain a benchmark for the brand
The new Jeep Compass will reach the Italian market at the end of 2025, but in the rest of Europe we will have to wait until 2026 to enjoy it.

The Jeep Compass is one of the brand’s models that has enjoyed the most success over the last few years. And now a new version arrives that will be sold in 2026, maintaining the essence of the off-roader while updating it and equipping it with more interesting features. It remains an appealing city car with remarkable off-road capability.
The new Jeep Compass is built on Stellantis’s new STLA Medium platform. It measures 4.55 metres in length and, thanks to this figure, can offer 5.5 centimetres more to occupants in the rear row. Boot capacity also increases, reaching 550 litres, while the front compartment gains space too, with an increase of 34 litres.

As for its off-road capabilities, these are backed by 20 centimetres of ground clearance, an approach angle of 20 degrees, a breakover angle of 15 degrees and a departure angle of 26 degrees. Wading depth reaches 47 centimetres, which gives it very interesting characteristics.
And if that is not enough, the all-wheel-drive version improves these figures, with an approach angle of 27 degrees, a breakover angle of 16 degrees and a departure angle of 31 degrees. All of this enhances its off-road characteristics and makes it an even more appealing vehicle for fans of off-road trails.

A more streamlined exterior
The exterior styling of the Jeep Compass offers a more streamlined look and takes design cues from the smaller Jeep Avenger and the larger Jeep Wagoneer S. It features sharper wings, redesigned LED lights and very slim, stylised air intakes. The wheel arches are square-shaped and have quite a lot of plastic cladding.
The front and rear overhangs are shorter than on its predecessor, giving it a more agile and dynamic look than the previous version. An interesting detail is the grille, which has active shutters that control airflow. It is available in six colours: Hawaii Green, Pacific Blue, Antarctica White, Amazonia Brown, Yosemite Grey and Volcano Black.

More technology-focused interior
In the cabin, the driver can see all driving-related information on a 10-inch screen. The other screen, dedicated to the infotainment system, measures 16 inches. Beneath this screen there are several controls, buttons and a rotary dial.
Engines and battery
The new Jeep Compass is offered with several e-Hybrid, plug-in e-Hybrid and fully electric powertrains. Some markets outside Europe are expected to get a non-electrified petrol version. In principle, European buyers will be able to choose a version with a 48-volt mild-hybrid engine producing 145 CV. It will also be possible to buy a plug-in hybrid version with 195 CV and three electric variants.
The electric options range from the front-wheel-drive variant with 213 CV up to the all-wheel-drive version, which delivers considerable power of 375 CV. In this case, Jeep has developed a motor for the rear axle of the Compass that adds 43 kW and has a peak torque of 232 Nm.
The batteries fitted to these variants offer a range of up to 650 kilometres on the WLTP cycle. The architecture underpinning the model allows a charging power of up to 160 kW, so it can go from 20 to 80% charge in 30 minutes. It also comes with a 22 kW AC charger.
The Jeep Compass will go on sale in Italy at the end of 2025 and will then gradually roll out to the rest of the European markets.
