The new Skoda Enyaq Coupé iV begins production in Mladá Boleslav
The long-awaited electric SUV coupé starts production at the brand’s main plant in the Czech Republic, getting ready to hit the roads

The Skoda Enyaq Coupé iV is one of the most anticipated launches from the Czech firm this 2022. A stylishly designed SUV Coupé that will be Skoda’s flagship for customers looking for a 100% electric SUV, albeit with a sportier look than its conventional SUV body variant.
Unveiled just two weeks ago, Skoda has just announced the start of production of this new Enyaq Coupé iV at its Mladá Boleslav plant, where more than 2,000 employees will assemble more than 120 units a day on the same production line as its sibling, the Enyaq iV, and the veteran Skoda Octavia.
Michael Oeljeklaus, member of the board for production and logistics at Skoda Auto, commented, “Last year we produced 50,000 units of the Skoda Enyaq iV, and it is a great honour for the entire team that the coupé version of our successful electric SUV is also being produced at the heart of the brand, in Mladá Boleslav.”
Maintaining its practicality
The main strengths of the new Enyaq Coupé iV are its combination of sporty lines without sacrificing generous interior space and a boot volume of 570 litres. Its interior also benefits from plenty of natural light thanks to the standard panoramic glass roof and more headroom, as it is slimmer than a conventional roof.

Better aerodynamics = Greater range
In addition to the above, this Coupé variant features a drag coefficient of just 0.234 cx, which contributes to better efficiency and offers a maximum range of up to 545 kilometres on the WLTP cycle.
As for technology, the new Enyaq Coupé iV will feature a fully digital instrument cluster measuring 5.3 inches, a 13-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, and a full range of state-of-the-art driver assistance and safety systems.
With this launch, Skoda aims to introduce three more models that are fully electric by 2030, positioned below the Enyaq in terms of size and price, thereby reducing its fleet emissions by more than 50% compared with 2020 and turning the Czech Republic into a centre of electromobility.
