Porsche Taycan Electric Cars Family
The Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo will arrive at the end of this same year
Porsche has already announced that the production Taycan Cross Turismo will make its debut at the end of this year 2020, and in 2022 the first all-electric Macan will follow.

It was in previous editions of the Geneva Motor Show that Porsche took the opportunity to present the prototype that eventually became what we know as the Taycan. Later, the Stuttgart company applied a similar move with a concept car offered with an estate body but the same electric mechanical layout: the Cross Turismo. Today, Porsche has confirmed what many of us expected, the arrival of the Taycan Cross Turismo, an event scheduled to take place at the end of this same year, although it will not be the only novelty.
And it is that during the annual results conference, in which the brand reviews the successes and objectives achieved over the previous year, they announced the arrival of two models. They also took the opportunity to highlight the 10% increase in sales over the previous year, which was reflected in a total of 280,000 registered sales.
As far as 2020 is concerned, the German firm plans to invest 10 billion euros in electric mobility, a strategy that makes clear the path its range of models will follow. Through a massive incorporation of both electric and hybrid vehicles, Porsche estimates that by 2025 half of its sales will correspond to electrified vehicles.

For now, the Taycan Cross Turismo -the estate version of the German electric car- will be the one to lead this transition. With this premise, we expect a vehicle that will keep intact the main design features of the standard Taycan, adapted to the estate body that this new variant of the electric saloon implies. We expect the same from the mechanical side, which will be represented by both Turbo and Turbo S variants as well as the Carrera 4 and Carrera 4S.
However, Porsche has also used its conference to mention an ambitious project: the conception of a 100% electric Macan. This version of the German SUV would arrive in 2022 and would be developed on the new PPE platform, a platform that both Audi and Porsche use jointly to create electric vehicles of any segment, something possible thanks to its modular nature.

It will be at the Leipzig plant where Porsche manufactures this new electric Macan, an objective that requires an investment of 600 million euros. In this way, the German plant will be able to host the production of both the electric and the combustion versions, two types of powertrains that will live in peace and harmony within Porsche.
