The Sasquatch XTX is the answer to high-mountain rescue challenges in Canada
This off-road vehicle will offer the ability to move across very difficult terrain to carry out rescue operations on any ground.

Specialised vehicles designed for particular tasks are built to be highly efficient and ready to fulfil their purpose in the most practical way possible. Argo is a Canadian company that manufactures specialised vehicles, and its new flagship is the Sasquatch XTX.
This off-road truck is designed to carry out rescue operations in extreme conditions, a concept that has proved popular in Canada, but also in other countries, which have been attracted by the vehicle’s versatility. This 4×4 truck has a very robust look and also has amphibious features, so it can operate in flooded terrain as well.

Its spirit for use in difficult terrain is defined by the presence of a front door, located in the windscreen. It is reached via a ladder and allows entry into the cab even in places where it is very difficult to move on foot. A top hatch also helps with entry if access cannot be gained another way. It also has more conventional side doors that give access to the cabin, which is set up to fulfil its function.

Inside the cab we find two front seats, but also two fold-down seats. Comfort is not the priority of this vehicle, but it still has air conditioning, heating and a Bluetooth audio system. Buoyancy comes from its large 71-inch tyres, which also allow it to tackle any terrain, however difficult.
At the rear it has an open cargo area, which can be used to transport the equipment needed to carry out its work with full efficiency. To move across difficult terrain, the vehicle has an adaptive transmission system called Argo Terrain Control.
With this system, the driving set-up adjusts to different types of terrain. Drivers can select Water, Mud, Snow or Trail modes. When one of the driving modes is activated, the vehicle adjusts the tyre pressure and other elements to suit the terrain. In addition, it is able to turn 180º without moving forward, which is also very practical.
As for the engine, it has a 1.8-litre turbodiesel block, manufactured by Hyundai, whose power output remains a secret for now. Its top speed on land is 40 km/h and in water 6 km/h, as its purpose is versatility rather than speed. The price of this off-road vehicle has not been made public, but the best-equipped version is expected to cost around 250,000 dollars.
