The Goodwood Festival of Speed will host new presentations, including the Polestar 6 Concept BST, a very radical sports prototype

This weekend is one of the dates circled in red for motoring enthusiasts, with the Goodwood Festival of Speed taking place in the south of England, an event that combines in equal measure celebration, petrol, racing and showroom, and many brands now take advantage of this massive event to show the general public their latest novelties.
This is the case of Polestar, a brand that will also be attending Goodwood to present its renewed range of models with the new Polestar 2, Polestar 3 and Polestar 4, joined by a very special guest: the Polestar 6 Concept BST, a prototype that one hopes will someday reach production because at first glance it looks imposing and radical, and given the success the Polestar 6 on which it is based enjoyed, who wouldn’t dream about it?

In this way, if the Polestar 6 was already a truly impressive roadster, with the Concept BST the brand has once again surpassed itself and shows how far it can go when it sets its mind to it. The base is the same, with a sharp and challenging front end thanks to the look provided by the headlights, followed by a side profile with strikingly marked lines in its lower central area, where the enormous wheels stand out even more, and finishing with a rear divided into three sections that reveal its sporty character.

The Polestar 6 Concept BST further enhances this design beauty in the pursuit of sportiness. Its front end is substantially improved by simply modifying the lower part of the bumper, which integrates a splitter in two sections with aerodynamic fins at its ends and new grille moldings on the sides, while higher up the bonnet is modified with two air outlets of considerable size, beneath which a huge combustion engine seems to be hidden.

On the sides, new 22-inch wheels make their appearance, framed by the new side skirts, which progressively grow in size towards the rear, thereby redirecting the airflow more effectively because the rear wheel arches are now much larger. These wheel arches serve as the calling card for a widened rear, where the simple yet elaborate rear diffuser with central light stands out, along with the enormous and beautiful rear spoiler that rises from the very slope the roof makes towards the rear.
Mechanically, the Polestar 6 Concept BST does not appear to receive upgrades, although it hardly needs them: the electric powertrain fitted to the Polestar 6 delivers a power of 650 kW (884 CV) and a torque of 900 Nm, figures that allow it to reach 100 km/h in a fleeting 3.2 seconds and attain a limited top speed of 250 km/h.
