Ultima RS, a track-and-road supercar that will be presented at the Goodwood Festival
The Ultima RS is the British supercar that will be presented at the Goodwood Festival and that will soon be usable both on the track and on the road

The world of supercars never ceases to surprise us, and practically every day brings a new surprise. This time it’s Ultima, a small British manufacturer that previously gave us the Ultima GTR and that now breaks away with a car that recalls the styling of Group C prototypes. But, although the styling harks back to the 80s and 90s, the technology on board is up to date, and this supercar can be enjoyed both on the circuit, where maximum performance can be extracted, and on the road, as it can be homologated for everyday driving.
The Goodwood Festival will be the stage where this supercar can be seen and where all kinds of details about its design and equipment will be revealed. The Ultima RS, which is the model’s name, can already be reserved on the company’s website, so we won’t have to wait long to see how well it is received by those who enjoy driving this type of sports car. The Ultima RS’s bodywork is designed to offer very efficient aerodynamics, so it is both very attractive and powerful.

To fulfil this purpose, the Ultima RS features a front splitter integrated into the chassis, vortex generators, a large rear diffuser, and a wing that exceeds the width of the car, which helps improve its handling. In terms of engines, it is available with several powerplants, although all of them are V8 engines sourced from General Motors. The entry level is made up of an LT1 6.2-litre engine producing 481 CV, followed by an LT4 6.2-litre supercharged block producing 659 CV. The top of the range features an LT5 engine with the same displacement but reaching 811 CV. That said, with slight modifications it can reach 1,217 CV.

All of these engines have one thing in common: they will be paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, since the company wants to offer a total driving sensation, and in its opinion an automatic gearbox would spoil that excitement. The car is designed to be enjoyed on the track, but as I mentioned earlier, it can also be used for road driving. In this case, there is a kit to make the interior more comfortable, with the installation of air conditioning, a navigation system, a rear camera, parking sensors and other technologies that are easy to find in other models.
We will soon have the chance to see this supercar, but in the meantime we can already enjoy some images that anticipate one of those supercars we love so much. What do you think of the Ultima RS?
