X-Tomi Design imagines the future design Toyota GRMN Prius
The Japanese brand has confirmed that it is developing the sportiest version of its new Prius, which will carry the distinctive GRMN name
Although it has not yet reached the European market, the new-generation Toyota Prius unveiled last November is one of the major new releases from the Japanese brand recently presented, with a refreshed and attractive design, a significant technological advance, and every chance of becoming one of the best-sellers in its segment.
Now, thanks to a series of reports published by the Japanese outlet Best Car, we have learned that Toyota is working on a tuned Toyota Prius from none other than the Gazoo Racing department, which, as is customary for the brand, will add a more aggressive and eye-catching design, a modified suspension, chassis and steering system, and an engine with an extra kick to meet the demands of sports car enthusiasts.
Taking advantage of this announcement, we have brought you the creation of the famous virtual designer X-Tomi Design, who has produced his own version of the Toyota GRMN Prius, drawing out the most radical side of the Toyota hybrid, with a wider and more aggressive body, a more striking colour combination, and wheels that come directly from the GR Yaris.

Subtle changes, big difference
Going through its design part by part, the GR Prius created by X-Tomi Design features a front bumper with a sharper, more aggressive splitter, an air intake in the lower part of the body surrounded by a large black moulding and, as could only be expected, the Gazoo Racing logo on the grille.
From the side view, the mentioned GR Yaris wheels hide a braking system with large discs and red-painted brake calipers. In addition, above the front wheel arch sits a sporty vent, the mirror housings are painted black and, finally, there are more sporty sill covers.
Returning to the announcement by Toyota, nothing is yet known about the mechanical specification of its GRMN Prius, so we will have to wait to learn the details. However, considering the mechanicals of the GR Corolla, it could fit the 1.6-litre three-cylinder engine that produces 306 CV of power.
