Eccentrica Rose Phoenix: the Lamborghini Diablo is reborn in rose gold with a 550 CV V12

Eccentrica reinvents the Lamborghini Diablo in its Rose Phoenix restomod: a handcrafted V12, 550 CV, manual gearbox and a rose gold design that looks like it was pulled straight out of hell

While traditional brands strive to appear sustainable, inclusive and well-mannered, Eccentrica has opted for something far more dangerous: building the car you really wanted as a kid. One with a naturally aspirated V12, manual gearbox, an insolent presence and a style very similar to the famous Lamborghini Diablo that you never could afford.

And no, this is not a modern reinterpretation. It is an unapologetic restomod, unfiltered and with no apologies. The Rose Phoenix — the first production example of the Eccentrica V12 — is a Lamborghini Diablo rebuilt with the precision of a surgeon, the madness of an artist and the arrogance of someone who knows only 19 will be made.

Default

Eccentrica was founded by Emanuel Colombini — businessman, collector and, clearly, a visionary lunatic — and the brand is a tribute to the supercars of the 90s, that glorious era when cars had no screens the size of a television and the only driver assistance was your own fear.

Based on the original Lamborghini Diablo, yes, the one from the poster, the one we all wanted on our walls and nobody could afford, the Eccentrica V12 takes the 5.7-litre naturally aspirated V12 and turns it into a beast of 550 CV, with new camshafts, electronic throttle bodies and adjustable mapping. And in case that doesn’t sound glorious enough, they have kept the manual gearbox. Yes, manual, as a real car should be. Reverse gear? Electric, because even rebels need a little comfort.

Rose Phoenix: a beast inside, a jewel outside

The Rose Phoenix is the first production example of the Eccentrica V12, and it holds nothing back. Its rose gold-plated bodywork, with a triple layer of pure aesthetic excess. In the sun, it glows, thanks to the semi-matte black accents that add just the right level of aggression to remind you that, despite its elegance, this is still a Diablo.

The interior looks like a boutique. Maxpell nubuck leather, coconut-coloured Alcántara, rose gold inserts… But it isn’t all velvet and design: the sound system is by Marantz, and the instrument cluster is fully digital. Technology and craftsmanship, as if Bugatti and Panerai had a child together.

Only 19 units

With just 19 units planned, each Eccentrica is as unique as its owner’s ego. Fully customised configuration, made-to-order materials, and a level of obsession with detail that would make Swiss watchmakers blush. This is not a car, it is a statement of principles on wheels.

The Rose Phoenix is already in the testing and validation phase. According to Maurizio Reggiani, the brand’s technical adviser and former Lamborghini engineer, it is not just about polishing numbers: “It is a matter of character, of creating an authentic connection between man and machine.” Translated: they are tuning the car so that it not only runs like a demon, but also feels like one.

Double wishbone suspension with adjustable semi-active dampers, Brembo brakes with six-piston calipers and 19-inch forged wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero… No, it won’t be comfortable. Yes, it will be spectacular. In a market saturated with clichés and SUVs disguised as sports cars, Eccentrica lets out a wild roar from the analogue era. The Rose Phoenix doesn’t ask for approval: it imposes itself. And if you are one of the 19 lucky owners, you are not buying a car, you are invoking a myth.

So while the world heads towards a silent, autonomous future, Eccentrica accelerates in the opposite direction with a V12 roaring like thunder. And honestly… thank God for that.
