FIAT Qubo L, the family van as an alternative to large SUVs
FIAT will soon welcome the new Qubo L, a family van with up to seven seats based on the Doblò, with diesel engines and an electric version

In 2008, and derived from the then FIAT Fiorino, the Italian brand launched the Qubo, a compact van that was sold in Europe until around 2020. This name had disappeared from the FIAT range until this 2026, when it will return as a large van with up to seven seats to become a real alternative to SUVs.
For the time being, FIAT has not gone into detail about the Qubo L, including what its name will be, although it has at least shown us an image that reveals it is the family version of what would be the Doblò, with a styling that barely differs in the slightest. On this basis, FIAT will offer the Qubo L in a five-seat configuration (with a length of 4,400 mm) and in a seven-seat configuration (with a length of 4,750 mm), with both available in the colours Gelato White, Cinema Black, (RED), Foresta Green and Riviera Blue.

The FIAT Qubo L will stand out especially in its 7-seat version as a genuinely versatile van: it comes with three individually adjustable seats in the second row and two removable seats on rails in the third row, which allows for up to 144 possible seat combinations. That is not the only highlight, as the great advantage of a van is the space and room it offers, an area where the Qubo L excels with a loading length of up to 3 metres if the front passenger seat is folded down, as well as 27 compartments in which to store objects of various sizes.

FIAT has confirmed that the Qubo L will be offered in the POP, Icon and La Prima trim levels, names we already know from its other models, which are characterised by offering extensive standard equipment even at the entry level. For the Qubo L, FIAT highlights features such as the “Magic Windows”, which allow access to the boot to retrieve items from the rear shelf without opening the tailgate, and the tailgate itself, which is wide and easy to access for loading and unloading. Not to forget the Extended Grip Control function, which adjusts engine response and optimises traction for driving on muddy, snowy or gravel surfaces.

Finally, we know that FIAT has also confirmed that the Qubo L will be offered with a diesel engine with outputs of 100 CV and 130 CV with a manual gearbox, although if we opt for the 130 CV output, an automatic gearbox can also be chosen as an option. In addition, but only in the five-seat version, there will be a fully electric version with an output of 100 kW (136 CV), the same configuration used in other models in the group such as the Citroën ë-Berlingo or the E-Doblò itself, so it is expected to be paired with the 50 kWh LFP battery and to offer a range of around 320 kilometres.
FIAT states that the Qubo L can be ordered before the end of January and will reach dealerships almost immediately, so we will not be long in learning the specific details and its price.
