Hennessey sets its sights on the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe

As you well know, under the name CTS-V Coupé, the luxury brand of General Motors, Cadillac, basically set out to create something as simple yet interesting as a rival to those foreign vehicles that were gradually taking over a high-end, high-performance market that was more than appealing and that reached the country under brands such as BMW, Audi and Mercedes.

It is precisely thanks to the intention of creating a rival that was more than interesting for those M3, RS5 and C63 AMG that today we can talk about a vehicle as attractive as the Cadillac CTS-V Coupé, a somewhat unknown car in Europe that, thanks to the guys at Hennessey, will surely climb a couple of rungs in your ranking of most desirable vehicles.

Under the name Hennessey V1000, we basically find an interesting carbon fiber aerodynamic kit, highlighting elements such as the new front and rear spoilers, side skirts, or a rather aggressive rear diffuser that houses two larger-diameter central exhaust outlets.

Among other upgrades, we can mention the installation of a new sport suspension that is firmer and, above all, lower, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, much larger-diameter alloy wheels, high-performance tyres, or an interior upholstered in top-quality leather and Alcantara.

Finally, mechanically we find an LS427 twin-turbo V8 with new cylinder heads, crankshaft, much more performance-oriented injectors, an intercooler, and new software for a thoroughly revised ECU. Thanks to all this work, we are looking at a CTS-V Coupé with 1,000 horsepower and 950 Nm of peak torque, enough to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds or reach a top speed of 370 km/h.
