Manhart MHX5 700: the tuner's latest on the popular Bavarian SUV
With more than 700 CV under its bonnet, specific 22-inch wheels and a more aggressive body kit, Manhart presents its latest creation

The BMW X5 M Competition is without a doubt one of the best SUV-format bases that tuners can choose to give it their star touch. We have already seen this with the G-Power GX5M that we presented to you last December, and now with this new Manhart MHX5 700.
This machine, as Manhart has already accustomed us with its other creations, debuts a truly brutal look and modifications under the bonnet that squeeze its twin-turbo V8 up to 730 CV, figures that make it clear that the Manhart MHX5 700 is capable of giving a scare to more than one sports car.
Even more aggressive
But leaving its mechanical section for later, let’s start with its styling, which has been improved thanks to a new body kit, which gives it the extra sportiness to make us realise that we are not facing a “conventional” version of the X5 M.

First, if we look at the new SUV from the front, it features a front bumper with an aggressive carbon-fibre splitter and a muscular bonnet, also made of carbon. These features are emphasised by the subtle gold-coloured details on its air intake, the side sections of the bumpers and the aforementioned lip.
From the side, the main protagonists are its new model-specific wheels in 22-inch diameter, which complement its sporty wing mirrors and new side skirts, which, as could not be otherwise, are also made of carbon fibre.

At the rear, Manhart wanted to complete the incredible styling of this SUV with a new aerodynamic diffuser, a third brake light in pure DTM style, a spoiler at the top of the boot and, finally, four exhaust outlets responsible for emitting the spectacular roar of that V8 engine, with a stainless-steel exhaust system and electronic valves.
An interior and engine to match
Inside, the Manhart MHX5 700 also boasts a cabin with numerous special details, such as a two-tone leather upholstery that you can see below in the gallery, a multifunction sports steering wheel with carbon-fibre inserts and paddles and the Manhart logo, as well as several dashboard trims also in carbon fibre.

With this overview done, it is time to talk about the heart of this Manhart-prepared X5 M. A 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that goes from producing 625 CV of power and 725 Nm of torque in the standard X5 M to 730 CV of power and 900 Nm of maximum torque, thanks to the implementation of a new electronic control unit.
