New Hyundai i10, equipment and prices for Spain

City cars have always stood out for their simplicity and minimalism due to their purpose, but trends change, and proof of this is the restyle of the second generation of the Hyundai i10, which we already got to see at its presentation at the Paris Motor Show, with substantial changes to its design and equipment, which until recently belonged to models in higher segments.
As you can see, the leap that Hyundai is making with its new models is also evident in the new i10. At the front, the new bumper takes the brand’s image from the new cascade-shaped grille, which we first saw with the arrival of the new generation of the Hyundai i30, while as its own signature we find the LED daytime running lights integrated into the grille itself.

Looking at the sides, we can see that the mouldings have changed in both size and shape, and at the rear, it has also undergone changes with a new light cluster and fog lights with a design that aims to follow the line of the front design. The whole package ends with a new design of 14-inch wheels, available in both alloy and steel.
The changes to the interior are rather subtle, although they are noticeable at a quick glance between the two generations. The most notable is perhaps the introduction of a new optional red fabric combination, but it will only be available with certain exterior colours, in addition to the already familiar orange, black or blue, depending on the chosen trim.
The new Hyundai i10 is approved to comfortably carry up to five people according to Hyundai, thanks to its dimensions, although I suspect that, when it comes down to it, only two people will be able to enjoy the rear seats without complaint. Its boot offers a capacity of 252 litres, expandable to 1,046 litres of load space if the seats are folded down in a 60:40 split.

What its occupants will be able to enjoy is the latest technology, which will also be present in the equipment of the Hyundai i10, similar to what we can find in the new i30 or the IONIQ. In the centre of the dashboard stands out the navigation system with a integrated 7-inch touchscreen, and to ensure there are no connectivity problems, it will be guaranteed thanks to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition, the proper functioning of the navigator will be ensured with 7 years of free subscription to TomTom Live, which also shows real-time traffic conditions, local weather forecasts and points of interest.
Another noteworthy part of the new Hyundai i10 is its active safety systems. The two main novelties are, through the use of a front camera, the introduction of a forward collision warning system (FCWS) and lane departure warning (LDWS) above 60 km/h. It is also worth mentioning that it comes as standard with electronic stability control (ESC) and tyre pressure monitoring, as well as 6 airbags.
Mechanically, the changes are not so visible to its future owners. The silent-blocks and suspension bump stops have increased in size to 64 mm in order to improve the driving experience of the Hyundai i10. The steering ratio has also been improved, and it features a new steering wheel with a magnesium structure, so that the steering transmits even better feedback.
The engines remain unchanged, and we find the same two engines already present in the previous model. The smaller one is a 1,000 cc three-cylinder engine producing 66 CV, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The second engine is a 1,248 cc four-cylinder with 87 CV, which can be fitted with the same manual gearbox or with a four-speed automatic gearbox.
The new Hyundai i10 is now available on the Spanish market, with prices broken down below according to trim level and engine choice.
