Looking back, it may seem that not much time has passed, but in 2021 it marks a decade since Pagani launched the Huayra, one of the most spectacular supercars of recent times. This week, the Monterey Car Week is in full swing in California, the venue where Pagani will present a special edition based on the most radical version, Huayra BC, which promises even greater thrills.

Pagani Huayra BC Pacchetto Tempesta is the name of this special edition that will crown the ten years of this supercar’s life. Pagani has made sure this special edition of the Huayra lives up to the celebration, and to that end it has carried out a series of modifications that focus not only on offering a different look but also aim to improve its already impressive aerodynamics, all complemented by revisions to its engine to make it even more powerful.

Starting with its heart, the Pagani Huayra BC Pacchetto Tempesta still uses the 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 engine developed by AMG, which produces 789 CV together with 1,100 Nm of torque delivered to the rear axle through a seven-speed XTrac manual sequential gearbox. Pagani does not specify the exact improvements made, but they have raised its power to 827 CV while torque remains the same, figures similar to the limited edition Huayra Imola launched at the beginning of 2020.

Designed specifically for the Pagani Huayra BC Pacchetto Tempesta, it features a body kit which, according to the company, is intended both to offer a new look and to improve its aerodynamics, so it can unleash all its grip on the track. To this end, a new front splitter, new air intakes and a new carbon-fibre rear wing have been fitted, along with a new design for the “shark fin”; at the rear, the six exhaust outlets provide the final touch. Inside, although few images are offered that would show the changes, Pagani claims its owners will find impressive details.

Finally, the Pagani Huayra BC Pacchetto Tempesta features a new suspension system specifically tuned for the increase in power it has received, and it will also include a new mode called “Soft Driving” which, although its function has not been specified, from the name alone we can imagine is aimed at providing greater comfort when not driving in a sporting manner.
