Seat León Copa, the most powerful Seat in history, 55 units
The most powerful Seat in history is called the Seat León Copa, and only 55 units were ever built. Do you know it?

The Seat León Copa is one of those limited and unforgettable editions that stay in the hearts of the most passionate drivers, such as the BMW M3 CSL. The Seat León Copa was presented in 2008 and quickly became the Seat most powerful in history. It was also known as the Seat León Copa Edition and was limited to just 55 units. This means that while the standard Cupra León sold for around 27,000 euros, the Copa Edition went up to 39,000 euros.
These 55 units of the Seat León Copa Edition offered a 2.0-litre TFSI engine producing 285 CV sent directly to the front axle, with a maximum torque of 360 Nm. It could also accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 254 km/h. Visually, it stood out from its siblings thanks to the two black stripes running along the bodywork. These also continued inside and could be seen on the centre console, although they changed to white to stand out against the dark background.

This is the Seat León Copa Edition
The details stood out on this model, all of them adding to the sportier finish the Cupra version already offered: the gear lever knob, aluminium pedals, and so on. The black 18-inch alloy wheels and Yokohama tyres also stood out on the sides.
Naturally, some aspects were upgraded, such as the suspension and more powerful brakes, to properly handle all that power. It’s worth noting that this version came loaded with equipment, including as standard: bi-xenon headlights, an integrated GPS navigation system, and sports seats, among others. Over time, other versions called Copa Edition followed from the Martorell-based brand and were applied to models such as the Seat Ibiza, the Seat Altea and the Seat Altea XL. Still, they had very little to do with the original idea limited to 55 units.

The main purpose of these versions was to offer much more complete equipment than the already familiar Style and Reference trims. In addition, in 2012 the Seat León FR Supercopa arrived, which also offered a much sportier look.
